If Epic wanted to full commit and release the code and assets to the games, I wouldn’t be complaining.
I know it’s a long stretch but we don’t know if Epic will follow through and do the same yet. I imagine there’s a lot of legal paperwork to get that stuff done above board for a bit company.
So which ones are good then? The first two companies you listed are definitely at the top of my personal shit list

They’ve promised not to sue people sharing Unreal 1 and Unreal Tournament(1999). They can change their mind.
