What legacy do we speak of?
Kricfalusi’s lawyer confirmed that “for a brief time, 25 years ago, he had a 16-year-old girlfriend”, but denied that Kricfalusi’s “avid pursuit” of Rice was sexual harassment or that he had ever possessed child pornography.[100] Kricfalusi released an apology to the women and his fans for his behavior, which he said was motivated by undiagnosed bipolar disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as “poor impulse control”.[5] Byrd and Rice criticized Kricfalusi’s statement as a non-apology and an attempt to deflect the blame.[101]
Yeah, um, FUCK this guy blaming all this shit on ADHD and bipolar disorder. Total bullshit.
He has since declared his withdrawal from the professional animation industry.
At least he’s not in the indrusty any longer.

Apparently sexual abuse allegations
Well damn. You know, I don’t usually look up the creators of a lot of the shows I’ve loved as a kid and now. And it feels like I should continue this trend because it’s like they’re all disappointments as people. What scum.
At least we still have Mike Judge.
For now
Everyone who is funny is also fucked up deep down.
Except for Weird Al Yankovic.
❤️ god bless Al
:(
Because of course that happened…
Isn’t the whole legacy of its creator pretty firmly embedded in the content itself? Like it’s disturbing and without much substance.
Wasn’t there supposed to be a revival of Ren and Stimpy that wasn’t going to involve the original creator?
Yes
Due to the allegations, Kricfalusi will not be involved in Comedy Central’s upcoming revival of The Ren & Stimpy Show, nor will he receive any financial compensation from it.[
I feel that’s a non starter. What made the show “interesting” was the borderline disturbed humor and fucked up graphicness. I’m not convinced that recipe would work today, we are too uncomfortable with some of the places the show went.
