There’s also a new Bing widget that lets you access the chat from the homepage.

Least obvious Microsoft spyware
I’ve been using the Microsoft launcher for a while now and it’s nice, but laggy. And I had to finally uninstall the Bing browser app because it just wouldn’t stop crashing.
Microsoft on android? Why would anyone want this?
It’s actually a very decent launcher, I used it for a while after Nova screwed the pooch. Have moved on since then, and if I hadn’t, I certainly would be leaving over Bing chat.
How did Nova screw the pooch? I’ve been out of the loop on that one.
They sold to a data analytics company.
May I ask what launcher you moved on to?
Sure, I use Total - it’s not as slick as some launchers, but it’s very customisable if you don’t mind putting the time in.
I could think of 2 reasons
- Customization, more features than the default. For example you can rename apps, change icons of apps, organize your apps to categories etc. Something not possible with the default launchers. Yes, other 3rd party support these, but if you already use some Microsoft products like Onedrive, Outlook etc, Microsoft launcher could be a logical option. They already spy you, so…
- You are a Microsoft 365 subscriber.
