The issue is still open! The merge request seems to be almost ready. Though there hasn’t been any new development since May.

Seems like the feature freeze for 4.3 is still in effect. I imagine they won’t merge it in until they start compiling features for the next build. Good for them though, the feature they paid for is finally coming!
There was once gold tier “pls fix #79697” and platinum tier “Thx for #79697” as well. I find their approach very effective.

I was really hoping that issue would be relating to Godots nonexistent play-in-editor functionality.
