A bit long but worth the time, I’ll post the edited version if he makes one too
Stop with your logic, I just came here to be mad!
At the bottom of the roadmap:
There is a plan to deprecate the current Asset Library and replace it with the new Asset Store. The current Asset Library is not going to be removed, but it will be marked as deprecated and will receive very minimal support. The new Asset Store is going to be the main source of assets for Godot moving forward but we understand that older versions will still rely on the existing Asset Library.
I’m taking the “replace” wording as in-engine as well as functionally replacing
A difficult update, but not unexpected after all this time. 10 years is a helluva timeline to release nothing 🥲
This is why you support indies
Meh, Sword of the Sea is looking pretty cool
I know, clear as mud! A few summary paragraphs I plucked from it:
If you have a game, website or mobile app that involves player to player chat, or a website or mobile app (inc. web/mobile games) that includes any kind of purchasing, you need to be aware of and compliant with EAA – though micro-enterprises (small headcount, small turnover/balance) are exempt.
[…] if provided to consumers after 28th June 2025
GPSR means it’s now illegal to target any game at the European market unless there’s an assigned safety rep with a Europe address (with contact details communicated to both players and the authorities), and the game has had a safety risk assessment which is documented in the game’s T&Cs.
GPSR applies to products placed on the EU market after 13th December 2024. For online sales, it’s about whether EU citizens are targeted. Just the fact that Eu citizens can purchase isn’t enough, targeted at them means for example being able to pay in Euros, have delivery of a physical product to an EU country, or access info in European languages.
The Titan sections in TF|2 confused me, half of them were basic arenas and the other half were basic arenas with bosses. I played a lot of Titanfall 1 and when I would play aggressively I’d go entire matches without losing my titan, it felt more like Gundam Doom. I think it’s because they actually balanced the sequel
Anyway the campaign is fantastic, so creative and always keeps it interesting. The mech sections aren’t even bad, some of their levels are beautiful and there are some good arenas, they just weren’t what I expected
I am just about done with The Last of Us 1 and just picked up Expedition 33, both are amazing (even if I’m bad at parrying)
Also on playdate I’m playing bwirds, it’s a fun spelling game! Polished and has nice short play sessions
I just found a random one as an example, I don’t remember what I bought a few years ago
Buy a headless plug, like this: https://www.amazon.com/EVanlak-DisplayPort-Headless-Emulator-3840x2160/dp/B07YLP1GG4
I use one to do VR, I can leave the computer in the corner and still do desktop stuff. Works great!
I’d probably replace it with the word “after”
Fair, I spoke too strongly. My bad!
I regularly get ads for airbrushed right wing talking heads arguing with college kids. That’s paid so not only the algorithm, but it is annoying!
It seems like trusting the nicest voice in the room on a topic like security, rather than experts, could be a mistake
Your personal experience validated their claim, what are you talking about
Added the demo to my library, thanks for sharing it here and reminding!
Whoa, is this a bsky post? That’s cool! https://bsky.app/profile/eibriel.sigmoid.social.ap.brid.gy/post/3lr6w465zbvd2
Discussing battery life:
In less demanding titles like Dead Cells the difference is absolutely insane jumping from 2 hours 47 minutes on Windows to 7 hours 8 minutes on SteamOS.
Considering how indie friendly the deck is, this is a huge loss for MS. All other things equal that difference would easily make me drop windows.
I should try this again. The bending was super fun, but I couldn’t figure out how to move faster than a snail’s pace
