Everything you said but also disillusionment with the status quo and lack of an alternative vision for the future. It’s not just that far-right politics are effective (though they certainly are), but that there’s no competition, so so people with a faulty understanding of, well, everything (and a healthy dose of bigotry) assume it’s either the right or establishment lizards they hate with every fibre of their beings.

I’d immediately invest most of it in stable, developed economies where the far-right doesn’t seem close to taking power—so somewhere like Finland or Singapore—and invest the rest in Syria because God knows they need it. This way I’ll have a permanent stream of change-the-world money that I can use to support pro-democracy and worker organization efforts in the third world and in countries such as Turkey where there are serious efforts to democratize. With whatever remains from that I’d then go around funding relief efforts in Africa and the like.
You should probably post this in a politics-focused community. Technically non-US politics are okay according to the rules, but I still don’t think this is the place for this. That said I completely reject “terrorist” and “terrorist organization” as labels, so while I don’t know who that is they should be raise even an ISIS (or worse, Israeli) flag if they want to.

Y’all should actually read the post. They’re clear that they don’t want to do this but fear extreme repression by the German government, and they even listed examples of what exactly they’re trying to avoid. I’m no Israel apologist, but I’m convinced.

I mean think of it this way: If your monarch isn’t a dick and removing them would piss off the reactionaries and average people who don’t care much about politics, why would you do that? They also help curb strongman autocrats by providing a target for the population to worship (therefore occupying that niche for a certain section of the population) but not give any real power to.
The other person explained the excuse. The real reason is: Netanyahu’s government was in danger of dissolution in the Knesset and before the attack only survived with two votes, so netanyahu’s auto-coup required another push.
