I really wish that had caught on. Were you a Phantasy Star Online player, by chance?

This used to be more common ~20 years ago when Steam first launched. Most modern applications seem to have abandoned this practice though.
$2000 should get you something pretty nice. Do you have anything specific in mind that you’re planning to do with it? Important stuff to keep in mind up front, in no particular order: do you play games? How big should the screen be? How long do you want to use it on battery? Any operating system preferences?
Looks amazing, I’d definitely give you the best dressed commendation after an activity!
It’s been a bummer without loadouts, but I decided to take the opportunity to make a new build (Banner of War + Stronghold) since I don’t have easy access to my other ones right now. There are definitely worse ways to enjoy the first week of the season!
I’m dying to try out the catalyst with my Banner of War build, but so far it still hasn’t dropped. Maybe tonight’s the night! 🤞
Now that hand cannons have been buffed, don’t sleep on Round Robin from Neomuna. I have a crafted roll with subsistence and hatchling, and it puts in serious work in most activities.
I’ve been meaning to do this for about a year now. Currently sitting at about 550/600 in the vault, so maybe I can hold off a bit longer…
Welp, time to get some legendary gear shards!
Does anyone remember if they said this at the end of last season, too? I thought I had Vanguard engrams roll over, but maybe I just play too many strikes and nightfalls to keep track.
This goes for any game, but especially Destiny 2 because of the way Bungie lets players interact with different menus during loading screens: I hate getting kicked out of menus when I finally land on a destination, especially if it’s a social area. It’s pretty obnoxious if you’re tweaking parts of your loadout and then have to dive back into the menus to get back where you were.
Can you elaborate on that? I can’t really come up with a good reason why I’d need to know who anyone is here.
I have a feeling the real answer is “why not?”
Is this maybe more of a PvE thing? Lightweight bows in particular can be unreliable at range since the arrow travels to where the enemy used to be, and with the way bullet/arrow magnetism works, it’s basically impossible to lead the target properly.
Only negative I spotted in the post is the reduction to heavy drops when running double special, but that’s pretty understandable given the way I’ve never run out of ammo with Retrofit Escapade.
Can’t wait to try out Monte Carlo, I have a feeling it’s going to be amazing on Shadebinder!
Hey, I’m glad you posted it! I’m not sure when I would’ve seen this otherwise. It’s definitely nice over here, even if it’s not super busy yet.
I’ve been actively avoiding Reddit and Twitter so I’ve missed out on a lot of the drama, but I think the last time I saw the community this worked up was back during season 10 (Worthy). No clue if you were playing back then, but it was the beginning of the pandemic so people had way more time than normal on their hands, and the season was pretty bare bones (lost sectors, a public event, and a couple missions on the PvE side). I remember r/DTG being a hot mess, especially since the FOMO had been dialed way up with the seasonal model (everything in a season went away as soon as the next season started).
Whenever you’re going to play, fire up the Destiny 2 mobile app and grab bounties for your character while everything is loading. You can look at the bounties and optimize your time a bit (SMG kills from Banshee and Eris, for example), but honestly, I just play how I want and get a bunch of bounties completed anyway.
If you want to be super optimal, save up bounties and wait to redeem them until you’re in a fireteam and not in orbit. Tower and HELM both work fine. This will let you take advantage of fireteam XP bonuses.
One other rule of bounty grinding, always try to redeem any saved bounties before the next daily/weekly reset if you want to be able to do those bounties again during the next cycle. Sometimes there can be quite a few repeats from day to day, and redeeming before reset keeps your options open.
Do whichever lets your thoughts flow more freely. I type because I don’t have to think about how to do it, whereas handwriting takes a lot of extra brainpower since I do it so infrequently. There’s no wrong answer though!
I always thought the GameCube controller was ridiculously comfortable and ergonomic, so that’s my choice. The C stick might not be for everyone though.
Any Dreamcast fans here? Those controllers had similar ergonomics in the hand, although the lack of a second analog stick was a pretty big drawback in hindsight.
