I know you’re right, but I actually think this one is an evolutionary benefit, just not ours. The cuteness traits won the evolutionary race because cuteness causes this feeling in humans that will make them more likely to get taken in by us.

I have the mini version of this (about 2ft) and it is my favourite. When I had more space, he was placed at my doorway to greet me when I’d come home.

Yeah the conservative thing has been so wild to me since I never saw my immigrant parents or millenial friends gain a ton of wealth or get more conservative. The political ideology is very clearly tied to wealth but I’m seeing even wealthier parents of friends not buying into it because they see how badly the economy has been fucked for their children and grandchildren.

Everyone should be required to take Plain Language writing courses.

There’s a lot of factors at play as to why more people prefer it now, but who cares really. Writing in plain language makes it accessible for everyone and doesn’t hurt anyone.

Idk about the states but where I’m from common law is also 6 months and generally is considered if people are living together as a couple for 6 mos. then they are technically in a common law marriage. They can make the claim on taxes or health insurance benefits whatever other claims and it is legally allowed.

Two roommates who don’t claim that they’re married anywhere legally are not in a common law marriage.

Same sex marriage is legal in my country so I assume this rule applies to any couple living together.

I enjoy work to the extent that one can enjoy something they’re forced to do. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Would I choose to do a million other things with my time if I could? Sure. But there’s nothing wrong with liking something even if it’s not your preference.

In Canada we see a lot less of that due to rules around news and reporting on social media, but there’s a push for better regulation still. I worry it’s not enough to keep us clear of the conservatives this election.

Really depends on the situation though. Where I work there are many temp jobs that are often extended for a long time after their end date until the bosses are finally able to swing it with the permanent position. It sucks but (in my work situation) it usually means the bosses really want to keep you around and are trying their best with the budget. It’s easier to get a temp assignment approved than a permanent role.

It is 100% possible that brain injuries can cause memory loss. On top of that the extremely stressful lifestyle of being a child actor and I’m sure trauma that came along with it. Hell I barely remember my teens.
