We are currently working on implementing a new virtual keyboard called QVK that will built into Plasma:

That is the proposal page. Of all proposals, and there are always quite few, the community votes and selects three to work on for two years. This one was not selected.

“Sandbox all the things” is not currently a KDE goal.

Spectacle release cycle has moved to that of Plasma and will be installed with Plasma, as a part of Plasma.
It used to be am independent app and on many distros you would install it separately (like on Arch) and its release cycle was that of KDE Gear.

Whether it was with code, art, bug reports, social media posts, or anything else, by desinterestedly lending your time and skill, regardless of if it was on a regular basis (shout out to all our hardworking devs!) or with a one-time, flyby commit that sniped a bug out of your favorite app, you too helped make KDE better for everybody this year.

Have a great holiday 🎄!
KDE@floss.socialOPto KDE@lemmy.kde.social•Donor appreciation post: Thank you for all your generosity 💖!10·5 months agoWe also want to thank everyone who donated through the pop-up. We’re very grateful for your support!
Many people said they wished they could donate more. Please don’t think you didn’t make a difference! Every euro will help!
@franklin @kde@lemmy.kde.social
You donate €50 or more and you can choose an app you would like to express your support for from the list. Your name then appears on the app’s apps.kde.org page as a supporter until the next relase of KDE Gear (25.04).

* KBreakOut is the classic brick-busting arcade game.
* KTuberling is for the younger users, and lets them build up a potato head, robot, pizza, and more – with added voices!
Have a fun!
Use KDE Connect:
On your phone, go into wher you keep your files (say, your photo gallery). Select the ones you want to transfer (1). Tap the share button (2), and the devices paired with your phone will show up (3). Tap the computer you want to send your files to and they will show up in the “Downloads” directory of that machine a few seconds later (depending on their size, of course).
It works both ways, also from laptop to phone, and even between phones and computers.
@frumble @kde@lemmy.kde.social
Long press the spacebar on the keyboard on your phone and chose the KDE Connect keyboard (see first picture).
Then click on the KDE Connect plasmoid on your desktop, click in the text box (see second picture) and start typing.
You can also use your phone and KDE Connect as a mouse and keyboard for your desktop.
Some more KDE Connect goodness: during your presentations, use KDE Connect to move through your slides.
Or put your finger on the “Pointer”, point your phone at the screen and a flaming circular pointer will appear. Higlight what you need by moving your phone.

SkanPage will help you connect to your scanner and you’ll be scanning all your important documents quickly and easily in no time.
And to keep an eye on what’s going on on your machine, don’t miss Plasma’s System Monitor. Personalize pages with sensors and keep an eye on what’s important to you.
