And yeah, Iran, like most majority Muslim countries, wants Israel out of the Holy Land for religious reasons, and politically, they don’t want strong western influence in the region. Israel likewise wants to retain control of the Holy Land and maintain western allies to help keep them secure. Both sides have legitimate reasons to hate the other, and, neither side seems interested in murdering everyone on the other side, they just want their religious and political objectives met, which consists solely of control over the Holy Land.

And yeah, of course Israel wants peace, their objectives are met by holding that territory. The problem is that most Muslim-majority countries don’t see Israel as legitimate, because it was created arbitrarily by western powers by taking land away from Muslims.

Maybe the next generation will think differently. At least I hope.

I hope so too, on both sides. Israel needs to accept that Palestinians deserve self-rule, and Palestinians need to accept that Israel has that same right. The boundaries will need some changes, but hopefully there’s a resolution that’s acceptable to most people on both sides.

I think both Iran and Israel are guilty of atrocities, and Israel has been worse recently in their treatment of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. I don’t think either amounts to genocide, since genocide has the intent of eliminating a race from existence (e.g. Jews in the Holocaust). I don’t think Israel wants to eliminate Palestinians (the people), they just want to eliminate Palestine (the country). I don’t think Iran wants to eliminate Jews or Israelis, they want to eliminate Israel (the country).

Why would they do that? Then there’d be noone to work the mines…

There should be more ways to avoid them. I don’t use YouTube enough to justify a premium sub, but I would be interested in paying either for specific channels or watch time.

I get 100 down, 50 up, which is the max for my ISP. They’re putting in fiber this year or next, so I’ll probably upgrade once that happens.

I have a Macbook Pro at work, and I honestly hate it, largely for this reason. Mouse button rock, and TrackPoint is good enough that I largely don’t use the trackpad. My workflow is very keyboard-centric, so it’s a really good fit.

Give me the same workflow and I’ll become a Framework customer. Otherwise, I’ll probably still get one, but only once my laptop is no longer functional.

Same with my 2017 Thinkpad.

If they release one with a TrackPoint and mouse buttons, I’ll upgrade early.

It would exclude any lower level tweaks like changing launch args or using a special Proton version, those can stay unsupported. Basically, if you can get it working well intuitively without looking stuff up online, it should have some level of support.

I’ve played several “unsupported” games that work fine, so something should be done here.

They did the same in my puritanical US state that passed a similar law.

Here’s the thing, there are already vendors doing largely what. Indies generally:

• cost less
• release in a playable state
• take risks on new ideas
• don’t have microtransactions

But people usually talk about big AAA games in these complaints. Buy indies and we’ll end up with more variety.

I still don’t have issues with the Joycons after a few years. We don’t use it a ton, but we do have kids mashing the joysticks in Smash and it has held up so far. We have two sets of Joycons and a Pro controller, and none have drift issues.

Sick! I remember it being fun, but never having the time to finish it. Maybe this is my chance. :)

I played it for the first time last year, and it’s still awesome, if a bit janky.
