Thank you. I also didn’t follow.

I changed my profile picture to one of the Fediverse graphics: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/36806080
If your role allows remote work this may be an option: https://consnewyork.esteri.it/en/servizi-consolari-e-visti/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero/visti/visas-to-enter-italy/digital-nomad-remote-worker-visa/
Once living in a place it’s a lot easier to find work, but that may be less true for academics who commonly move for work anyways.
Academia seems to have largely settled on English. Most graduate programs I have heard of are taught in English even if it’s not an official language of the host country.
CERN was designed to stop the brain drain to the US after WWII. Hopefully Europe (the world) realizes the opportunity in front of them.
Hell, I would copy the question sometimes :P
Yeah I had a similar thought to your first paragraph. I mostly use MBFC for the “factual reporting” rating, because it seems easier to be objective about.
Just to clarify, I don’t develop any fediverse software, I wouldn’t want to take any credit from those amazing people.
I have always liked the saying that an overnight success takes 5-10 years. Getting frustrated with someone who is developing two different Fediverse platforms simultaneously after 12 days seems a little quick.
I think you make good arguments in your video about how similar loops and peertube are, but I don’t view that as a negative. We see lots of duplication in the world, even within open source (Linux vs BSD vs Redox, ardupilot vs pixhawk vs betaflight). When it’s open source they can all learn from each other and reach better solutions sooner.
Edit: oh looks like OP says loops is 5 years old. Still seems odd to show up after 5 years and expect something exciting within 12 days
These comments have made me very curious if that exists or how that might be designed.
Ok well nothing is as impressive as yours. Averaging 15 posts a day for the last 19 months is a full time job.
That seems like important nuance for sure.
Relative to your impressive comment and post count, it appears I was.
I guess I had missed it the first time
Hahaha it starts a little rough but that guy kills it!
Such a big tough looking dude with a shit eating smirk on his face as he farts to the music.
Wow good work, my global ranking is #2449.
Ha, yeah it’s good that you slowly clear out your local area because my SO did not appreciate me trying to answer questions while we walked.
You are in luck my friend: https://streetcomplete.app/
They have made it super easy and fun. I have been playing it for nearly a year and have made a pretty big dent in my local dense metro area.
This is a clever solution
Thanks! The only odd thing I ran into is im not sure how to subscribe or un-subscribe from communities.
When I saw the show Hamilton, George Washington was black, not sure if that’s always the case. It was a really good show.
