I buy 2-3 wireless mouse online once a while. Then when I lose 1-2 mouse, I feel the ‘need’ to buy more mouse, and I do place order online waiting days, weeks for mouses to ship to me.
And I keep losing them.
I mean, my cat doesn’t eat them, and mices don’t go anywhere. But I keep losing, and feel anxiety when lose them.
Get a wired mouse.
I was going to say tie a piece of cord or rope to the wireless mouse and tether it to your desk, somehow your suggestion seems like a more practical solution
Why not do both? Cord into the PC coming from the front and another from the back

no bro I am real human, with my hand typing on real keyboard.
I am reading your comment with my real eyes, on my screen. Then I think. It took me 4 minutes 23 seconds to think. Then I use my hand to move my mouse to reply text to click on reply. Then I type on my keyboard this message.
This comment is very human
At least you still have your mouse…
🤔😑
In case this isn’t a joke… maybe get more organized? It seems very wasteful both to your wallet but also in general to keep buying multiple mice and then also losing them a lot. All that packaging, shipping, e-waste you’re creating because you can’t just put a tiny effort into being organized. Like if you use a wireless mouse with a laptop just always put it with the laptop? Or always put it in a specific place?
Buy an expensive ass mouse. I bought an expensive ass socket set and haven’t lost a socket since.
Are you metric or imperial?
No idea how one could possibly lose a mouse.
You could get a laptop with a trackpad so you don’t need a mouse anymore. Then again, you might lose the entire laptop.
If it’s a Bluetooth mouse, maybe there is a phone app that can find it. The could even build a locator function (like those keychain tiles) into the mouse.
only use wired mouse?
if not, put a tracker / airtag in your mouse
check the cushions
the one in my bedroom likes to hide under the bed and pretend to be a large dust bunny, or floof ball from my birds
Buy one that has enough space to open it up and put an apple airtag in there?
