And now they don’t play music at all. If you don’t count the MTV Classic channel.
I never even had MTV. Any Canadian know if Much Music still exists and/or plays music?
Much still exists, but there hasn’t been music on there for a long time.

Funny thing. I didn’t have MTV growing up. I had Much Music. I’m from the US btw.
That’s… unexpected.
How did that come to be?
Safe bet, MTV cost too much for my cable company.

Rob Dyrdek finessed his way into MTV and now he’s all they air. Dude hustled MTV cuz their management got lazy and he basically took over for them.
David Bowie, “it seems you may be racist, why is that?”
Adult with lime green socks, “no, not us.”
David Bowie, “if you look and see, it appears you are. How come?”
Person who I can only see the back of their head, “couldn’t be, never.”
Why does Will Smith only play black people?
Why does Will Smith always play opposite Latino girls?
Before or after he said Hitler was the original rock star?
He said that during his coke years in the mid-70’s.
Dammit. What is it with my favourite musicians and Hitler?
With Bowie it was definitely easy too much cocaine…
One of my favorite quotes of all time came from a psychiatrist, speaking on Mel Gibson’s famous drunk driving tirade:
“You can’t pour vodka on a turnip and have it say anti-semitic remarks.”
However, Bowie claims it was a stage persona. Why he decided on a fascist for the persona is a decent question on its own, but I don’t think “because cocaine” is a good explanation by itself.
About a decade after 🤦 Jesus I hope he came around on this before he died
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thin_White_Duke
The Thin White Duke was the persona and character adopted by the English musician David Bowie for public appearances in the mid-1970s.
[…]
The Thin White Duke became a controversial figure due to ostensibly pro-fascist statements made by Bowie in press interviews during this period. Soon after making the comments, Bowie claimed that they were “theatrical” remarks made in character and did not reflect his actual views.
Thank you for this!
