I stopped playing mid-way through. Way too grindy, and the game us built for hardcore 40/hr a week players that make the economy complete junk. Even thinking about trying to breed a tem drains me so quickly it’s obnoxious. A lot of content to make breeding or shiny hunting easier is locked unless you’re in the top 5%. It’s clear the devs don’t care about casual players, which is probably why the steam reviews have been so bad. Don’t even get me started on the battle pass or the WILDLY expensive dye/cosmetic system, or how hard it is to make money.
It could have been a good game but the devs really dropped the ball.
Try Nexamon if you haven’t
Extinction is better than any one Pokémon game I’ve played - my problem is that it’s fully balanced. The bright side is you aren’t punished for liking something weak/not looking up what to use. The downside of that is there is less of a dopamine hit for progressing
I loooooooove nexomon! Coromon is also pretty good, but as far as crearure collectors go - Monster Sacntuary is the best one I’ve played. It has skill trees, you collect eggs instead of catching monsters, its 3 monsters per battle in a team of six, and ‘shiny’ hunting is easy but still rewarding with two shinies per monster. It is a really refreshing experience with lots of ways to mix and match your team compositions.
Sucks but yeah, it was foreseeable.
I enjoyed both of my playthroughs of Temtem and I still boot the game up from time to time, trying to earn the missing achievements.
Congrats Crema for that colourful game and if Temtem 2 (or whatever it’s gonna be called) ever comes out, it’s a day-one purchase, guaranteed.
Developer Crema says it’ll keep the game running for the foreseeable future
Release the server code for people then you don’t have to worry
