FYI - mouse and keyboard can be on usb2 with no issues. It doesn’t really matter tho, unless you’re taking a usb3.0 slot that could be used by another device which does consume that bandwidth.
Came here out of curiosity to see if someone knew about the domain ownership thing and got some knowledge instead. I’ve had some weird behavior with my Bluetooth / WiFi card not being very consistent and it’s probably because my antenna is literally on top of an external hard drive plugged in via usb3.0.
Lol thanks, the reason I googled it was because when I connected a hard drive to the usbc port next to the usb2 port that had the usb dongle my mouse would randomly cut off at times. This doesnt happen when its connected via bluetooth so I figured there was like a signal jam occurring from the usb port being next to the usb c port or the fact its a usb2 port.
Assuming that you’ve got a dongle for that wireless mouse, I think you could get a usb extension cable and simply get the receiver away from the computer and hard drive.

It’s signal interference. https://superuser.com/questions/1282590/why-does-usb-3-0-interfere-with-2-4ghz-devices#1282595
ah damn that sucks, my usb ports are blue or red (3.1 or 3.2) I guess I’ll try to disconnect my hard drive when I’m not using it
