Bethesda’s M.O. has always been to release a playable, if not bare and buggy, sandbox and let the modders liven it up and smooth out the experience. The only thing that’s changed is that Starfield is fundamentally not a good game that modders aren’t interested in messing with and would need almost a entire rebuild to get to that point.
I partlially disagree because Skyrim was a fun game without mods. Mods gave it more replayability and elevated it to its iconic status today…but yeah, still a good game (at the time) without them!

Nah, their earlier games had spirit. Oblivion is still one of my favorite open world fantasy games to date.
Starfield is just a soulless recycled scrap for money and hype.
Bethesda also haven’t released the mod kit either yet.
