Yes, we all know they have no empathy. Their children and grandchildren have been telling them that they’ve been experiencing this shit for decades, but “what do they know?”.

But the moment they start personally feeling it… Oh well now suddenly it’s an issue and it’s everyone else’s fault that we let it get this bad.

    Fuck boomers

Boo hoo. My parents also wanna know why I won’t reproduce for them when they’d “help support me” and have completely failed to give any specifics on that. The fact that I trust 0 of their promises to this degree should tell you everything you need to about my childhood.

i had my mother ask me to reassure her I would take care of her when she got really old and can’t work . she is in her 60s now and still works. I had to break it down to her. I honestly don’t think i will be able to even if I wanted to.

She has no savings in any meaningful way and had this 1000 yard stare as I told her. i felt bad but when you are forced to live a minimalist mind set and don’t have any social safety net. these honest conversations should be had now vs when the time comes.

To make sure they don’t have the rug pulled out from under them when they day comes. I expect most boomers. See their kids as an insurance policy so don’t pay attention and get manipulated into voting against their interest for two minutes of hate of the day.
