switched from Fedora because I lose write access to my home directory, Wallpaper: https://w.wallhaven.cc/full/3l/wallhaven-3lyl1d.png
Uses Linux for the first time
Installs Arch
I mean if you ditch Windows and use Linux you might as well go all the way
Atta boy :)
That’s the way. Nothing improves the experience on Linux as much as a bit of learning curve. You may go with easy few clicks setup distro and then once you stumble upon any issue you’re clueless. Besides, Arch is much easier to understand than something like Ubuntu.
…and?
I like that move, no need to be cold
It’s a good and easy way to learn Linux.
Your waifu is cute 🥰
LOL I don’t know who that is, but when I found this artwork on Wallheaven after scrolling for an hour I thought she’s pretty cute and she probably the type who use Arch on daily basis
I love your attitude lol
Try SF Pro Display instead of Noto
Yes! SF Pro is the only font for me that looks good on a low DPI display.
Thanks I’ll give that a try
Nice, that’s a clean looking setup! Gotta love how flexible Plasma is.
Side note, losing write access to one’s own home directory sounds traumatic lol, even more so when you’re new to Linux. Glad you stuck with it anyway!
Haha, I lose my write access because my dumbass trying to setup SFTP and somehow screwed it all up now I’m using SMB which is much easier to setup than SFTP
Fair enough, no judgement here either way! Unix permissions can be daunting going in, I know I’ve struggled with them quite a bit back when I was learning 😅
Very nice. I’ve been daily driving KDE for 20 years and only changed the default wallpaper once or twice.
This is clean
Thanks you :D, it’s so minimal yet it took me 3 hours to setup
Very blue :)
And it go well with the Arch logo don’t you think ;)
Oh absolutely
Nice! Makes me wanna leave xfce for a while and try KDE. It’s been like 8 years since the last time I tried it.
Very nice!
Welcome : )
Since time how? Like you’ve been using it for how long?
2 weeks, this is my first time using arch for real
You’ve made a good choice. Arch is the way.
