Better in what way? This is why people are asking. How are we supposed to provide “better” alternatives when you won’t explain what would make it better?

I would like to cook more as it just tastes way better (and is much more healthy), but I’m always exhausted especially after work. I suppose my answer is that right now I’m eating a lot of prepared (refrigerated or frozen) food, but would prefer home-cooked meals.
We literally just got Android 15!
They have an Nvidia version; although it should be mentioned that Nvidia doesn’t always play nice with Wayland. If you use X11 with Nvidia instead, it’s a much better experience and you still get most of the benefits of using Bazzite.
Personally, I switched to AMD due to the better Linux support. Wayland on AMD is fantastic.
Yep, here’s the Voyager pair’s live distances: https://science.nasa.gov/mission/voyager/where-are-voyager-1-and-voyager-2-now/
I also ran Pop for a couple of years before moving to Bazzite. Bazzite has KDE, Wayland, and can run .deb software through distrobox. It’s the best.
Bummer, that’s strange.
Just took a glance at the settings in Read You, it seems like you might be able to use it locally. Might be worth a try.
I use FreshRSS (a self-hosted RSS aggregator) with Read You (for Android) and have Techdirt and Cascade PBS working, I actually just added Cascade PBS today. Of course this might require you to self host FreshRSS, but FreshRSS is well worth it.
Looking at the feeds, they seem pretty standard. I’m surprised your app isn’t accepting them.
Honestly, other than voting and trying to get those around me to actually give a shit, I’m not. Like in the past two elections, I’m having trouble grasping the fact that half of the (voting) country wants to elect a fascist. My mother told me over the phone that one of her neighbors is voting for Trump because “his wife is absolutely gorgeous”. Like, how do you even respond to that, especially in any calm way?
Oh, and someone here reminded me: cannabis. Lots and lots of it.
It was already forked as classicpress.
There are many different ways, but personally (and hopefully I don’t get crucified for saying this) I use Plex and Plexamp. Plexamp has got to be the best music app I’ve ever used. I even tied it into Last.fm to get recommendations for new music based on my listening.
You’d need to set up Plex media server to go this route: https://support.plex.tv/articles/200264746-quick-start-step-by-step-guides/
Personally I host via Docker.
It might be a little overkill if you don’t have other media, though, and it’s not fully open source.
Paper towels are able to absorb water because of cellulose’s natural gaps and spaces:
Most bacteria are about 1 micron, and these gaps range from around 1-10 microns.
Especially if damp, it can be argued that they don’t stop the transfer of bacteria. It’s possible that your bacteria transfers through it and vice versa. This is all before the fact that paper towels can already harbor bacteria on their own.
That being said, paper towels do block some. You just shouldn’t think of them as sterile or a magic blocker for bacteria.
I have bad news, most (?) paper towels, toilet paper, and even the toilet seat covers are microscopically transparent, meaning there are plenty of gaps for microbes to get through.
Particle board and plywood is made of sawdust and wood shavings. My definition of solid wood is something that came directly from a tree with the only major processing being cutting it into board, sheet, or similar.
Any sleep will improve your work day, at least in my experience. It will still be pretty rough, of course.
I try my best to practice the basic sleep hygiene tip of not laying in bed when I can’t sleep. I get up, do something else (like I am now) and wait for the sleepiness to set in before going back to bed (even if it’s 4 am).
Yes, the banks know. Their cut is usually large enough for them to look the other way.
This is one of the reasons I use unRAID with two parity disks. If one fails, I’ll still have access to my data while I rebuild the data on the replacement drive.
Although, parity checks with these would take forever, of course…
They weren’t kicked out, iirc. Their contributions just aren’t automatically merged anymore
