Smartest person to put in charge of education.

There’s a big difference between someone putting in a good word for you…and having them “pull strings” to get you the job. If all he did was get you an interview and you took care of the rest, it’s fine. But if he has actual “pull” with the company…meaning, they have to do what he tells them to…then there might be some resentment among your coworkers.

Lend him a ton of money and then threaten to collect.

Everyone else is considered a common enemy, so they bond over their mutual disdain for them.

All you’d have to do is issue bench warrants for the entire Trump administration for refusing to follow court orders, and have the US Marshals go and arrest them.

I guess this means that we’ve reached the point where folks have become so accepting of the bullshit they’re saturated in, that the idea of hearing the truth, is abhorrent to them.

I got perma banned for saying that Elon Musk should get “burned” in Canada for fraudulent sales numbers posted by Tesla in order to qualify for Federal subsidies.

They took me literally, and claimed I was promoting violence. My appeal got shut down in less than an hour. They “burned” my 8 year old account, for saying that Elon should get “burned” in Canada. The irony is real.

I work in a Canadian manufacturing company that is owned by a large American conglomerate. When Trump started all these shenanigans, there were rumors floating around that head office was going to move the shop to the US to save money.

Apparently they did a cost/benefit analysis and determined that it would cost them far more than they stood to lose, by moving the operation South, and the returns wouldn’t even begin to come in for at least a decade. They decided that raising their prices to absorb the tariffs, was by far the better option. Even the projected losses were manageable compared to the cost of disrupting their supply chains.

All these tariffs are going to do, is make everything.ore expensive. Nothing else is likely to change.
