I’m far less worried about the imminent supply shock to the economy and far more worried about the long term damage to things like the FDA. We’ve decided we’re going to try to go from ~10% vegetarian to closer to 80% or 100% because I simply don’t trust that thing like meat and milk can stay safe to consume. I do have a solid amount of food in my house, and if shelves start emptying I think I’ll be okay for a bit, but that’ll pass. I can’t really leave this country, so I need to be planning for longer term problems too.

In my experience, if you didn’t write the function that creates the list, there’s a solid chance it could be None too, and if you try to check the length of None, you get an error. This is also why returning None when a function fails is bad practice IMO, but that doesn’t seem to stop my coworkers.

Even if you own a Steam Deck, Nintendo has some attractive value. Nintendo essentially has a monopoly on at least 3 genres of videogame. The entire library of Steam doesn’t really have a casual racing game that can go toe-to-toe with Mario Kart. The same can be said for almost any Mario game. Even if a Steam Deck had the games, you’d need 2 decks or an extra controller to get the Switch-style experience. Valve isn’t really trying to compete with the Switch on its own turf.

This isn’t a shower thought, this is a political opinion.

1. Disable mouse acceleration in the OS and in the game
2. Enable raw input
3. Decide on a grip for your mouse, your options are claw, palm, or tip. Which type of mouse you have will kind of dictate that choice for you at some level
4. Download CS GO and an aim practice map
5. Adjust the sensitivity until you start hitting shots semi-regularly. You should be able to do at least a 360 on a single mouse pad, some people prefer a higher sensitivity. You’ll have to decide between using more wrist or more elbow.
6. Memorize the DPI and in-game sensitivity you used, use it for mouse-sensitivity.com and try playing a very different game from CSGO with those settings.

Odds are the best settings for CSGO will be less sensitive than the best settings for open world RPGs, ultimately it’s your call and depends on the games you play, but once you have a setting, stick to it for a few different games, then adjust as needed.

It’s a 60Hz vs 120Hz screen, and it’s got true 1080p resolution. It’s certainly on-par with the Steam Deck in terms of performance and performance per dollar. The price isn’t ridiculous by any stretch.
