  • So, first, you can’t be much more confident than an honest mistake. I didn’t even know I was in the wrong group.

Second, they weren’t reading my phone. You turn your phone face down to scan the QR code. They literally can’t read it like that. The system tells them where you are supposed to be, including boarding group. If they’re not trying to put you where you’re supposed to be, they’re probably tired of dealing with people like you.

Lastly, people fucking up the system by cutting in line are a part of why it takes so long to board. If you want to board earlier, man up and pay for a premium ticket.

  • It’s literally a flag in the account settings.

That said, I think mass copying of Reddit content is the issue. Functionally, yes, Lemmy and Reddit are similar. But they do have different cultures/subcultures. Even within a given topic, when you have both a subreddit and a community, they will like and dislike slightly different things.

I think the solution would be for individual users to bring content (links, memes, etc. - not comments or entire threads) over that they found worthwhile, instead of bulk copying.

  • As much as I like mine, I don’t think it has been around long enough to make this kind of recommendation yet. For now, I’d recommend something that’s been around longer.

I’ve seen a couple recommendations for Swiss Gear, which I can wholeheartedly agree with. I have 2 approaching 20 years old. One looks brand new. The other clearly isn’t new, but has no functional flaws.

I also really like my Rush 5.11. It has been my primary travel, hiking, and camping bag for years. I treat it like shit, and it still looks flawless.
