Carrots, lemons, red onions, and daikon. Usually in white vinegar, sometimes rice vinegar, depending.

I thought it was just me and my old iPhone, but I’ve also been having a lot of trouble connecting for the last few months. Since May, really.
Excellent news, but chargers won’t help much if most people still can’t afford the cars.
I suggest a generous cash-for-guzzlers trade-in program that gives anyone who owns or is paying down a gas vehicle the option to trade it in for an electric vehicle. It should be an even swap if the trade-in was fully paid off (year or model shouldn’t matter, as long as it drives). And if there’s still a balance on the trade-in, the payments should transfer over to the new electric car, the price of which should be adjusted so the remaining number of payments doesn’t change. Make it as seamless and frictionless as possible, and people will wait in line for this shit.
My parents used to use AAA TripTiks to plan our trips. Granted this was decades ago in the olden days of paper maps, so I have no idea how good they still are, but apparently they still exist. Worth checking out.
I did a cross-country move about 8 years ago, and just planned each leg of the trip separately. I chose where I wanted to sleep, planned the route to get there, and then did the same for the next leg. There’s really no wrong way to do it as long as you connect the dots and go the way you want to.
I appreciate the advice. My PS4 is just a lowly slim, not a Pro, so it is definitely showing its age. But I’ll for sure take this into account, thanks!
I got a ton of play out of my PS4 at the height of the pandemic, and have been considering a PS5 for a while now, but I just didn’t think it was worth it. I’m probably in the minority, but I think I would probably buy this, if the spec bump was significant enough. I also really hope they release it in black. It’s silly, but the white 90’s router is so so ugly, and frankly one of the reasons I’ve stayed away. If they charge more than $600 though, it’ll be a hard no. Don’t fuck this up Sony.
Yeah I think I’ve seen that usage, but I’ve also seen it used as a negative put down rather than an affirmation. I just have a lot of trouble with this one for some reason. Anyone know where it comes from?
And every time I think I understand what people mean by it, I’m wrong. This one has got to stop.
Walking on the ground was hard enough, now they want us to walk on the beach??
Okay I’m in.
I don’t have an Xbox, but I’m thrilled any time companies add good customizable accessibility options. It’s good for folks who really need it, but also usually good for those of us who just like to customize everything as much as possible. Everybody wins.
I think I was wrong, I think it’s actually called the Local Group. I don’t think the Local Group itself has a real name, but it’s part of the Virgo Supercluster.
My replies do not necessarily imply an upvote, so if this ever gets implemented, please make it optional. (I did upvote this though, because it’s a cool idea to have as an option.)
I’m no dev, so I can’t speak to the codebase or mod tools, but I honestly don’t think it’s going to get much better than this right now. Lemmy has its issues for sure, but the community has been surprisingly stable, with little growth spurts here and there, and more healthy engagement than I expected. I get frustrated every so often, and there are accounts that make me want to scream, but that’s normal in any place where strangers interact.
I’m curious what other folks have to say, because if there’s a better alternative that I haven’t heard of, then I’m all in, but it’s been pretty hard to keep Lemmy as active as it is. It sounds like you might be a dev? If so, would you be willing to build the tools you want to see for the services you mentioned? It’d be awesome if folks with skills worked to improve existing open source stuff like Lemmy rather than building whole new ones that don’t have any active communities.
Which is in the local cluster
I’m about to have this issue in about 10 hours. Are you older than 30? Cuz I really started feeling the pain after 30. I recently bought an awesome inflatable pillow that keeps my head upright, so I can maybe possibly sleep instead of just fidgeting and suffering through the whole flight. I feel your pain, internet stranger.
Also, constipation. It’s so hard to shit the day after flying. Most people don’t seem to have this issue.
It’s also one of the most breathtakingly beautiful buildings in the world. I dare anyone with eyes to stand under the oculus when the sun shines through and not be overwhelmed by its beauty.
The fact that it’s standing intact, pretty much exactly the way it was when it was built by the Romans, is incredibly impressive. They knew how to concrete.
Someone sticky this shit. Can we do that here? No? Well, that was an excellent answer.
That was a super interesting read, thanks for sharing!
I finally got around to restarting God of War. I played the first few hours on PS4 a while back, and was overwhelmed, felt like it threw too much at me all at once, and I couldn’t be bothered to learn all the combat and mechanics. I got it for PC and started fresh, took it slow and used exploration to learn all I could, and shit, now I get it, this game is a masterpiece. It looks gorgeous in 4K, and the combat is loads of fun. And quite possibly my favorite thing is getting to hear Teal’c again (I freaking love Christopher Judge).
Now I just need to play something mindless to fill the next few weeks before Ragnarok releases on PC.
