I don’t mind Wednesdays ATM because they’re often meeting free. So I can both indulge my need to be distracted and make solid progress on my tickets. That makes the day pass quickly.
Monday’s are usually shit. My Sunday tends to be busy, then I sleep poorly because my sleeping brain starts anticipating the alarm 3 hours before it goes off, every other week I have 3 meetings before lunch, and usually a todo list left over from Friday that has grown even larger over the weekend.

One day I might care about 4k, but it hasn’t happened yet. So I really can’t muster a shit to give about 8k.
The first thing I do with any new laptop is figure out show to disable the trackpad. I’ve never liked them and they’ve been getting worse as more manufacturers make apple-like ones (physical buttons are nicer). So I’m disinclined to own something that, for me, just introduces a ton of new ways for my spacebar to break.
I’ve had 3 blobs over the years, all caused by an otherwise benign issue turned into that because filament got caught in a silicon sock.
Before the pandemic I was on the road sometimes and it surprised me how many towns / tiny cities would have 1 grocery store and then a couple fast food chains as the only (obvious) to-go food options.
Many seem to have one particular mini-mart or gas station that has surprisingly good food, but you tend to need some local knowledge to find that.

So it’s powered by two github repos in practice. One is the uncompiled huge source which has a build pipeline that automatically does a build and pushes it to the Github.io/Pages repo.
I maintain bare metal, traditional cloud hosting, containers, and serverless (plus “serverless containters”) and this is how I think of it:
I also have a bachelors in bio. I went into it knowing that a BS would only get me a job in bait shop, if I was lucky, so I had intended to get at least get my masters. But a combination of injury and red tape meant my 5 year degree took me 8 years and it sapped all the patience I had for academia.
Thankfully my degree wasn’t entirely useless as I had the the easiest/most boring on-campus job those 8 years and I taught myself to program on the clock. Then I counted my coding side-hustles as programming experience. So when I found a job looking for someone with a degree and two years experience I was able to get it.
I worked for the department that ran student computer labs (before most people started bringing computers to college with them). That’s where the real epic lan parties happened. Every time we’d update the desktops we’d celebrate with an all-nighter lan party for staff and friends.

Other than paying for tuition and dorm housing, yes.
