A fellow Steelcase fan. Awesome. What’s yours?

I’d just get a chair that’s comfortable without any add-ons. I have a Steelcase Leap V2 at home, and a Steelcase Amia at work. I can and have sat in these for 16hrs plus in a day. Tempurpedic also has nice, thick butt cushions in their chairs at a fraction of the price.
At least there is dinner and dancing.
So be it. I should be able to text one handed without stretching my thumb through inhuman effort to reach the “a” key.
I have a Galaxy S24 Plus. My three gripes with it are that it is too big, no headphone jack, and no SD card slot. Really, being too big is the worst. I miss smaller phones. Like the Galaxy S6. My favorite phone was probably either my ZTE Axon 7, which had fantastic front facing stereo speakers and a nice aluminum body, or my HTC Vivid with its horizontal dock.
Well, welcome to Lemmy! I don’t think you’re going to make a whole lot of friends around here based on your comment history… but I’m glad for you that you left that crap factory. I’ve been here for a little over a year now, no regrets.
For an extra 20, you can put Gulikit hall effect joycon sticks in it. And for a few dollars more, there’s a spot on the board to solder and mount a haptic feedback motor. Still under $100. You want to get extra crazy, you could fit a small usb wireless adapter inside it. Still trying to figure out how to get stereo sound. But at the point of all those mods, you could get an RG35XX.
Oh man, I really enjoyed Battlefield Earth. And the movie. What turned you off?
Just go into a high paying field, and move somewhere that won’t be affected as badly. The apocalypse is BYOB, so start prepping.
At the very least. I’d go so far as to say letters up to and including double G would be desirable.
My wife and I have our own. We use hers for the kid and mine for the dog. So, hers is beauty gurus and baby shark, and mine is Sarah Boone coverage, old computers, and 10 hour videos of squirrels.
I don’t know if I can pick a favorite artist, my tastes are too varied. There’s a ton of good suggestions in this thread, so a couple album recommendations I have that I don’t see are:
Mannheim Steamroller - Fresh Aire II
Rheostatics - Melville
Yeah, she definitely crossed the line that time. It was probably the most mad I have ever seen her. I can’t remember if that was also when she slapped me, or if that was something else. But really, those were the worst instances and the other 98% of my childhood was very good. And we really do have a very good relationship today. I don’t think I deserved it, or any child would deserve that. My schooling was just a hotbutton issue for her, and I pushed it really hard that time.
My mom was very strict with me as a child, but I don’t think it was narcissistic. She was very focused on my education. I had to do well and get a good job. But it was because she wanted me to have good health insurance as I have had chronic health issues from birth. I have a good job now, my student loans are paid off, and she was right about me needing good health insurance. Our relationship is lovely now. But I’ll probably always remember the time that I skipped a homework assignment and she spit in my face.
I would love a brain implant. I want to live in the Matrix, I want to have the Feed. Just not from him. Never from him.
Shingles. That was just awful.
I hope so. 3 was awful, I didn’t even finish it.
I love monster of the week episodes. Those are my favorite X-Files episodes, too.
I should try Handbrake. I’ve been using MakeMKV and Movavi. If you can rip and convert in Handbrake all at once, that would save me a bunch of time.
Battlezone 2: Combat Commander. When I started playing that, my brother and I had to face each other and use our laptops’ infrared ports.
