The first thing i noticed is the awful amount of TAA/Upscaling artefacting. Apart from that it looks good i guess. I mean its GTA. It will probably be an enjoyable game. But still: Fuck Rockstar. Fuck Take2.

Well, but they involve themselves with mods quite a bit: https://www.beamng.com/resources/
Because Beamng runs their own mod repository which is even accessible ingame. This isnt about some random mod hosted on a randrom 3rd party site. This mod was released and distributed over servers and a services which Beamng as a company runs themselves. So reading a whole ass month after the incident my system and my passwords were potentially compromised fucking sucks. I’m not blaming them that the mod got uploaded. I’m blaming them that they made no attempts to publicly communicate: “yo, a mod containing malware got uploaded to our service and 3000 users downloaded it before we got informed that it was infected. If you happen to have downloaded the mod in x timeframe your system was likely compromised. Sorry yadda yadda”
I had the mod installed in the timeframe were it had the malware. Fuck me.
But what really pisses me off is that i read about it first here on lemmy. Not on the Beamng forums/repository, not in the game, not in the steam announcments of the game. Like you distributed malware over your platform and the policy of you fucks is just to stay silent? Meh.
Nope.
Atleast from my perspective there isnt any hope left for the ‘big picture’. Everything is just utterly fucked. Nothing left to do but to live your best life. For me it still involves living by my ideals. Just for my sanity and because it feels right. But tbh were just fucked and i try not to think about the implication of the future anymore.
I was always a pessimist tbh. But jfc even with that in mind its all so fucked up rn.
holy moly, look how fucking crisp that old ass meme is. no dschiffpegg artifacts whatsoever. my eyeballs cut themself on the sharpness of the pixels.
anyway heres some goobicii: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLQQW-On0uY
I always enjoyed browsing ‘new’. Both here and on that other site you might know of. Personally i dont like the bots here. They just clutter the timeline IMHO. I visit ‘social media’ for a feed which is pre-curated by humans. I’d rather use RSS if i wanted a constant stream of news articles without curation by others. The problem i see on lemmy is that in rare cases the bot posts still get user engagement which i miss out on if i just outright filter the bots out.
Its nothing i lose sleep over and the situation as is… is alright i guess. But if i had anything to say and had a choice i would outright ban them. But tbh i didnt think through the consquences.
Brett@feddit.orgto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you also notice that a lot of Lemmy users do not get irony, sarcasm etc subtelty?2·1 month agoI’d say its mostly sample size. Lemmy is still small. The ever so slightly off feeling interactions have a higher chance of getting noticed because they dont get buried under hundreds or even thousands of other posts most of the time. So its pretty easy to come across discussion threads which werent upvoted by the hivemind for beeing ‘normal’.

Ha, when reading the headline i thought GCN would get some upgrade in the Linux driver or something. But not a possible FSR4 compatibility with 2 year old cards to make the imagequality less worse.
