For shoes, take a look at Arcopedico. Portugese made and kind of hard to find in USA, but without a doubt the most comfortable. They weigh almost nothing, and they seem to be undamageable.

Or get several models previous, bought used. I had a Pixel 3 I bought for very little on ebay… Now I have a Pixel 7, from a deal with my wireless company (which will of course cost me over time). And at least for my use, I can’t say the 7 is any more useful or nice to work with than the 3.

I think the point was that the reporter was being no more than competent enough to insist on a reply to his question. It looked sharp only compared to milquetoast U.S. reporters who are almost universally afraid to confront anyone for fear of blacklisting.
