It’s feels to me like how the ancient redditors said reddit worked.
Some servers come closer to reddit like world which copied all the popular subs.
Others are definitely smaller communities, maybe a post or two a day and plenty of discussion.
I feel great about it all so far.
Death stranding where people built structures for other people in the world is one.
Minecraft servers where you gather resources for your friend and put a sign up with a message.
Anything where you can interact with each other but don’t have to be logged in at the same time.
We need more asynchronous game mechanics
Have you seen IT budgets? Some vice-president of technology is going to be pissed his numbers look bad compared to his peers during their weekly numbers measuring contest.
2017 twitch had a “whispers” product. Sounds like direct messages twitch.
He was sexting a minor. A twitch employee confirmed he was sexting her even after he learned her age. He tried to setup a meetup at twitchcon.
He might be legally pseudo protected by twitch having minimum age requirements. I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know why the company just banned him instead of referring it to the cops. This all could have been secret if he had just kept his mouth shut and not bad mouthed the company with all the deets.

The whole point is that everything is in an official ledger, that can be argued over in front of a judge.
Best you can do is say you don’t consent for your data to be sold. Find a smaller bank or a credit union where they have to give a shit about their customers.
Every human body is different. Some people need a shower twice a day. Some people have natural perfume.
If you are concerned about it being a waste of water, then you can campaign to make society treat it as a valuable resource and not a “free swimming pool for everybody” type deal. Cause for a lot of those cases you point out, people are just using it like it’s priced dirt low.

Abstract quote:
In particular, laser printers are a primary source of particle emission that increases the concentrations of particulate matter in indoor atmosphere by releasing substantial quantities of electrostatic fine particles, at rates comparable with tobacco smoking and incense burning.
Sunny top secret art of war zeroth rule: Don’t get in a war idiot.
Somebody said laser. Those things vaporize toner into your air.
A printer where you can actually see the ink tank and you can refill it.
Read a material science book. Then think about exposure anytime you see plastic.
Yes
A few years ago a tech friend literally couldn’t comprehend why he would want to be in a union.
Use a controller instead of a keyboard if you can.
Use the practice missions in the starting town. Get those challenges done.
Take a few lives to just practice visiting different destinations as fast as possible.
Others have already laughed at this idea, but on a similar topic:
I know we’ve basically disabled a lot of features that sped up the CPU but introduced security flaws. Is there a way to turn those features back on for an airgapped computer intentionally?
I’m not going back to typing my grocery list manually. So I’m fucked in that part of my life.
Edit: thank you to everybody suggesting privacy preserving methods of grocery list maintenance. I’ve already considered them.
Ah shit, is this the time line where privacy isn’t needed cause people want better AI?
Fill up your pantry. Focus on grains which are labor intensive.
Once the deportations camps get rolling expect all the grocery prices to rise again. Having a full pantry will let you float for a while so you can adapt to newer recipes in your price range.
