I’m hoping Lemmy grows more so that the niche communities (that were still relatively active on reddit, even for their neichness) can start to have regular threads going.
What I’d also like to see is posts that I can spend 5-10 minutes in because they have more comments than the ~5 we have now.
I’d not considered that and wonder how much of a limiting factor it was. It certainly seems to have done well for the land in terms of biomass, but as for species diversity who knows?
For lightweight things like email, as you say, I don’t know why everyone doesn’t do it.
The PWA seems to work well enough to fill the ‘app’ gap if you want it on your phone.
Let’s just push PWAs more!

That’s where I am with Lemmy right now. I still have reddit installed, I still dabble on Reddit but over time I’m finding I’m there less and less.
This is the second time I’ve tried Lemmy and its much more successful, I think it’ll be my main social media.
The MSc Sustainability from Cranfield University is all online besides a 4 day residential each year.
Seems to work really well for them.
A book for those interested more about this.

A little while ago we got a new update that allowed us to limit charging to 80% to keep battery health, are you sure you’ve not got that turned on? As soon as we got the update I switched from adaptive charging to the 80% limit.
