I’m using Caddy (sometimes in a container or most of the time as system package) as reverse proxy mostly for containers
I try to minimize non-container services but they work well with Caddy too

Traefik is a tad more complex (still nowhere near Apache2 levels though) but scales more easily espcially if you only run containers and start/stop them programatically

if you are open to learn something new: Caddy webserver has a dead simple config, fetches tls certs by default for you and works with crowdsec too

the most honest reason I read about is probably that former Twitter user who felt out of place on Mastodon or other Activitypub servers because the “Nerds” who care about privacy and decentral systems which were already on it have a different microblogging culture and they didn’t want adept

so now a new competitor gets traction because the people who felt out of place on Mastodon can relife the Twitter experience from over a decade ago

the Manjaro hardware driver setting is absolutely confusing or straight up misleading
also hilariously easy to bork your system here if you ever think about trying the video-vesa driver for whatever reason

the solution is to use the newest linux kernel and update all your packages (which updates Mesa and Vulkan tools) and afterwards rebooting (I still believe Manjaro doesn’t reload kernel modules on kernel updates automatically?)
if you experience graphics issues switch between Xorg/X11 and Wayland compositor

if you actually want worse gaming performance try the proprietary driver

additionally you don’t need to jump across several hops to flash custom roms on Pixel phones (or tablets)
it’s easy as using a web browser

meanwhile custom roms on Xiaomi or Samsung are a huge pita to setup and require almost shady looking korean or chinese (windows) applications

if your goal is to automate your home (or lab, or work place) I also would highly recommend Home Assistant but I hesitated to recommend it anyone since OP didn’t really explained what they actually want to with it

i.e. if your goal is automate rss feeds and notifications than Home Assistant ist just completely overkill for this task

Node-Red is probably your best bet
it’s functional with a lot of plugins available as well as relatively easy due to the “flow” workflow

one other command mentioned Home Assistant but even among the Home Assistant community there are quite some people using Node-Red together with Home Assistant to achieve their goals

the biggest difference to Windows gaming is that for Windows games on Linux played via Proton every game gets its own Proton/Wine prefix (basically a windows folder structure)
ifyou want to use mod manager you need to run them inside the game specific proton prefix

anyway there are a lot of open source TOTP apps available to choose from like Aegis or if you want to sync it something like Bitwarden (Premium or Vaultwarden)
desktop apps also exist but that would defeat the point probably

stay away from proprietary apps and do backups of these TOTP secrets or you’ll absolute will lock you out if you loose your phone somehow
