A buddhist vegan goth with questionable humour.

That’s great and I am happy for you how well your lifestyle seems to be going. Rural is always a challenge when avoiding meat, I know how much effort it can mean. Good on you for hanging in there.
Almonds have their issues, but that said are still ahead of the curve in regards to envirmental impact in comparison to animal products.
Yeah, I see your point. If it’s just about emissions full plant based of course would still be the best outcome, because even diary products have a huge environmental impact. Not as bad as meat, but still considerably higher than any plant based choice. I found it fascinating that an avocado that has been shipped across the ocean to Europe still is a better choice than local diary products, enviormentaly speaking.
In regards to research etc. I get your point. I tranaiended from vegetarian to vegan about 10 years ago and the first half year was a lot of research what I could buy and couldn’t and how I should make meals in order to not run into any problems. After that it just became my new normal. It takes zero effort these days, minus the occasional struggle to find a good place of go out.
What is holding you back from going vegan or at least vegetarian? I’m not trying to judge, I’m just interested. If you care about the environment it would seem a logical choice, that’s why I’m asking.
I still personally believe buying local is probably the best bet
You call it a belive rightfully, because in order to hold it you have to activly disregard the multiple studies that point to animal products beefing worse for the environment even if shipped around the world.
I am sorry if this doesn’t agree with your world view. It’s a reality that has been proven by multiple authors again and again now.
Water under the bridge, no worries. I didn’t realize you had deleted your comment because I replied trough my inbox. I deleted the response.

Is this Chat GPT? So a bunch of made up papers?
Edit: Not that I give a shit about the downvotes, but come on. Give me a link to one of them. Just one. They even left the “Here are some studies…” AI red flag in there.
“Going forward, to build a breakthrough Twitter 2.0 and succeed in an increasingly competitive world, we will need to be extremely hardcore,” Musk wrote in the all-staff email. “This will mean working long hours at high intensity. Only exceptional performance will constitute a passing grade.”
This is so fucking cringy.
He paid 44 billion for twitter. He could pay the legal fees of every American for a year and it would hardly dent his wealth. It’s obscene how much money one person can have.
I play with Mods, unfortunately. It’s the one thing keeping me back atm.
It’s a dirty joke. You’ll get it in a couple of years.
I was a single, almost 40 years old and happy but somewhat lonely dude 2 years ago.
Now I have a wonderful wife and my twin boy and girl are the sweetest little bunches of joy I can imagine. Additional, my mum sold her house and now we have enoth money to take a year of work and care for the kids together.
I’m tiered and, i am exhausted, but feel so endlessy blessed and happy every time I look at my wife or my children.
The Fedverse works in mysterious ways 🤷
Beeing honest about mistakes you make is way better than trying to deflect or lie about them. This is true in professional and in social settings.
Own up to your mistakes, try to correct them and be open about you fucking up. Most people will respect that more than you trying to be Mr or Ms Perfect.
Bullshit. You wouldn’t call it ethical to kill a 5 year old you see in the street just because it is done quick and painless.
Murder doesn’t become ethical just because it’s not also torture.
How many predators can take down prey 50 times their size?
Ants and a couple of Insects I guess. Also Bacteria and Viruses.
How many species can thrive in tundra, jungles, plains, forests, mountains and deserts?
Well, obviously also most Bacteria. If we are speaking more sentient live then the answer is: mot of them. Birds, Mammals, Insects. It might take a generation or 10 to get them adopted to their new envirment, but almost every species. Is able to adopt to their evolutoany niche.
How many species can be found on every continent?
Most of them?
How many species figured out how to fly despite never developing wings?
Technology. Yes, that’s a human thing at last, at least at the level we use it.
How many species developed hundreds of distinct methods of communication
Various species have methods of communicating, from bees dancing to each other to whales having distinct regional dialects. Yes, humans have added some complexity to it by introducing technology, but that’s realy what it comes down to. Technology.
How many species have been to the moon?
Technology, once more.
So your point is that humans have learned to use technology, therefor they are badass.
I disagree. We are living in an absolut singularity tight now. Humans have learned to use finate resources (oil for example) to amplify the energy that we have at our hands. A single humans beeing today can use energy that would be equal to thousands of men’s work every day.
Since we are drawing on finate resources there are two ways how this will go: we will learn to exploit other, less finate sources of energy (say, fusion) and the groth path will continue (to the stars, eventually). Or we will run out of energy or ruin the livable world by doing so and will fall back to an earlier level of development. Since most of the resources needed are used up we will not be able clime back up. At this moment we are on the second of those paths.
And in our way in getting here we have started the sixt mass extinction, accidentaly started turning the climate into something less sustainable for humans and polluted every single space on this planet, including areas like the deep ocean that we have never even touched physically.
Humans are not badass, in my opinion. We are fucking cancer.
but humans are evolutionary badasses
How so?
New Zealand by far. Nature was just so awesome.
Good point. If the wizard did this you also would never know that such a song existed. Hence your “worst song in the world” spot would be filled with a different song the instant the spell hits.
It shows how such categories as “the worst” and “the best” are only constructions of our mind.
