Yeah but comics are also supposed to be creative. This is a essentially a lemmy comment with illustration.

KRAW@linux.communityto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why Haven't Universities Made Online Education the Standard for Bachelor's Degrees and Beyond?English18·1 month agoWhat are your metrics for “effective?” As someone who is both teaching and taking classes currently, I can tell you engagement is pitifully low in online formats. Education is not just about memorizing facts and going through the motions to get a good grade. There’d have to be some amazing innovation in online education practices to convince me it will be the default anytime soon.
This genZ-bait soundtrack is making what looks like pretty cool gameplay look incredibly lame. Too many of these GaaS titles that inevitably enshittify use this same marketing to the point where it gives a Pavlovian signal to stay away.
KRAW@linux.communityOPto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Cheap Hardware to Run MoonlightEnglish1·2 months agoI don’t think I’m interested in an NVIDIA Shield since if I like the idea of running any Linux app in case I want to use it for another purpose in the future.
An RPi could be a choice. I forgot that the 5s have hardware decoding. Assuming the 4GB model is suitable, then $60 + cost of a case isn’t too bad. I assume the hardware decoding could keep up with 4k60?
KRAW@linux.communityOPto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Cheap Hardware to Run MoonlightEnglish1·2 months agoNo, I just was under the impression that Moonlight was the best solution
KRAW@linux.communityto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why are American universities so expensive?English6·4 months agoAdministrative bloat. At my university, if my lab lands a grant, 60% goes to the university and only 40% is used for actual research. There’s a long chain of people whose jobs are to answer emails, and they all need to be paid.

KRAW@linux.communityto PC Gaming@lemmy.world•Terminally Ill Fan Was Able To Play Borderlands 4 Early, And He Says It's AmazingEnglish2·5 months agoThey already did this stunt for the last game. Great for that fan, but feels more manufactured the second time around.
Ah, yes. Nintendo has definitely done evil on the level of… checks notes …slavery.

Might want to reevaluate your list there.
KRAW@linux.communityto Programming@programming.dev•How should I continue learning?English3·7 months agoDoes your school have a robotics team or something along the lines of computing? That would be a good option. Also if you are still in high school and plan on going to college, you still have plenty of time to learn.
KRAW@linux.communityto Programming@programming.dev•How do you view your role in public ethics as a developer?English1·7 months agoWell luckily AI researchers have achieved plenty in over 60 years. We call the ideas and innovations resulting from this research “AI.”
KRAW@linux.communityto Programming@programming.dev•How do you view your role in public ethics as a developer?English22·7 months agoSo the entire field of AI has produced no AI. Gotcha 👌
KRAW@linux.communityto Programming@programming.dev•How do you view your role in public ethics as a developer?English42·7 months agoOK what qualifies as AI then?
KRAW@linux.communityto Programming@programming.dev•How do you view your role in public ethics as a developer?English106·7 months agoOof, programmers calling LLMs “AI” - that’s embarrassing
…but LLMs quite literally come from the field of computer science that is referred to as “AI.” What are they supposed to call it? I’m not a fan of the technology either, but seems like you’re just projecting your disdain for ChatGPT.
KRAW@linux.communityto Cooking @lemmy.world•[RECIPE] RIP to my favorite yum-yum recipe, and my take on itEnglish1·8 months agoJapanese steakhouses originate from teppanyaki restaurants in Japan that cooked western style food. When you go to these style of restaurants, it is debatable how “Japanese” it is since it was never really a popular cuisine in Kapan despite originating there. This is reflected in the ingredients they use.
You’re getting a lot of retorts in response to your comment, but I 100% agree. Sure telling people happy cake day is fun the first few times, but it inevitably just becomes stale. One of the things that made reddit not enjoyable was people parroting the same phrases all over the site.

I had to force KISS to restart frequently enough where it became a problem.

Sure, it meets the technical requirements to be a comic. But it doesn’t meet the practical requirements to be a good one.
