ADHD sucks. It’s a pain in the ass to get my meds, the meds help, but I still have good days and bad days. I don’t think it’s nearly as debilitating as a crushed hand, I don’t even put it on the same level as depression. That said everyone has a different toolbox for their issues, and some people are better equipped than others.

I’m hardly putting them on a pedestal. They simply got the ball rolling on our iteration of democracy. They had some great ideas, but little foresight or imagination into what their experiment would become. The Constitution could use a full refresh, borrowing what can be salvaged from the old and updated for modern society.

The Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves knowing the press is so entwined with the state. The press is supposed to be the check on the state, and somewhere along the line we lost sight of that.

It doesn’t even have to be to that extent, just being able to slow/stop that awful content from being uploaded by a bunch of malicious bots. Even if it’s not malicious content, you could still have people uploading spam that eats up the server space.

Yep, there needs to be moderation tools that can be quickly deployed to stop the illegal/immoral/evil stuff from spreading and taking over self-hosted servers.

Yeah, it’s a similar reason your wear a helmet on a bicycle/motorcycle, if a car hits you doing 50+ MPH you’re probably done for regardless of whether you’re wearing a helmet. If you go over your handle bars face first into the pavement doing 10 MPH it keeps that injury from being catastrophic.
