Before you criticize a man, you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way if he gets angry, you’re a mile away! And you’ve got his shoes!

So, I’m not a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist, but I absolutely believe the theory that Spez & Musk are being paid handsomely under the table by dark money to do their best to ruin Reddit and Twitter. It was the two largest places that liberals congregated, communicated, and publicly posted, and the right wing wants to hamper and/or destroy both sites. I think both are seriously compromised now, and many of the left have fled. In the case of Twitter, it’s just turning into Truth Social lite, and Spez is trying to monetize what’s left of Reddit as fast as he can to rake in cash off what’s left of the dying carcass/bot farm.
Apparently when I post from Voyager, it converts my graphics to gifs. I’m not sure why.
There’s the expression “see you later alligator,” and this is a literal take on it.
I too came here from the Reddit migration - when Apollo died, so did Reddit for me for the most part. It was amazing the number of Lemmy apps that popped up in those days, and how many of them have been eventually abandoned. I’ve settled on Voyager for my iPhone browsing and Alexandrite for my laptop browsing, and I’ve been really happy on Lemmy.
And lastly, this is one of my favorite Pearls Before Swine! 🤣
Have you ever seen the one-off cartoon that Watterson drew for the cartoon documentary Stripped?
I’ve never seen that, thanks for sharing!
And it looks like June 7th was Pastis doing a tribute to the last Calvin & Hobbes strip.
(I found all 4 strips on GoComics with a Google search for the dates.)
Here’s an article about it. Apparently it was June 4th, 5th, & 6th of 2014. I thought Watterson did the whole strip, but according to the article, he only did the middle panel. Still, pretty impressive that he would volunteer to do it!
I’m sure you probably already know this, but he is so respected that Bill Watterson did a handful of the strips.
Not gonna lie, Pearls Before Swine has become one of my favorite mainstream comic strips. That guy is witty and can occasionally push the envelope.
As far as puzzle games, SevenBloks is my most played game by FAR. I play on Toughness mode, and the games are pretty quick. It’s a combination of equal parts strategy and luck.
For sports games, Retro Bowl & Retro Bowl College (American football) are the best $1 per game I’ve ever spent. I’ve lost track of the number of seasons I’ve played on both.
Wow, this is actually simple but strategic. Thanks for posting it!
I guess that’s how he wants to go out. Don’t shame the man!
I… uh… just uploaded it using Voyager. It wasn’t a gif on my phone, I don’t know how or why it got converted.
My apologies, but if this is the worst thing that happened to you today….
Mel Brooks’ Silent Movie. I guess you’ll miss the best bit in it though, where the only person who speaks is the mime Marcel Marceau.
Why has no one mentioned this style? I’ve had one for years, and there’s never been a clog it couldn’t fix.
