This is actually really effective as a form of protest. From a business perspective, Rockstar probably won’t roll anticheat back, but future companies will assess it as part of the risk when looking to add AC
Hey, another Battle for Middle Earth fan!
I actually keep a Windows dual boot specifically for BFME online play (since BFME only works singleplayer on Linux). It’s been making a comeback recently, there were 51 people online (!!! New record) just this Sunday. We played 3v3s, 4v4s, FFAs, you name it. Was a lot of fun 😄
In any case, check out the 2.22 launcher; even for offline play, it’s got built-in support for a lot of mods and plugins, and runs decently under Linux: https://www.moddb.com/mods/battle-for-middle-earth-patch-222/downloads/patch-222
Two questions:
I don’t block people because I think it’s important to understand that people have different viewpoints and ways of articulating them
Open source doesn’t mean open source development. But yes on the bugfixes
I’m just surprised this guy’s played games for 64 days straight
I think this is the case, yea. Try !godot@programming.dev and !godot@lemmy.ml
Realistically you should reapply, but in the morning is a good start to the routine
True. Nothing else in your skincare routine matters if you’re not wearing sunscreen.
Get sunscreen that you don’t mind applying in the morning. I love this one: www.amazon.com/dp/B09DGPRM22
The problem is they’re either lazy or busy (the one guy I knew was busy), and unlike you or me they can’t trust anyone to clean their apartment/car for them.
There was one girl I knew who was known among the dealers as trustworthy - if she saw 50 grand under your bed she would clean around it but not touch it. She made bank
Yes but also not really, they could just stop buying those ads
Can you articulate the real advantages of separating these things? Seems like bloat
Yes, then he got a bunch of backlash and now he’s doing the reverse. And people are losing their shit even more
But those aren’t the options on the table right now. The options are “nullify copyright” or “keep infinite copyright”
Y’all have the wrong take. Fuck copyright.
Webview2 is the edge component that is assumed to be installed on all Windows computers. Unlike runtimes which a launcher could detect is missing and install, Webview2 doesn’t have a silent installed that can be bundled. The user must, by hand, go to a website, select their CPU architecture, and install it.
Anyways it’s clear that, at least within the Windows org, Microsoft is the new Oracle and teams are pointing guns at each other. Hopefully it dies quick to avoid this slow decay.
First time I ever asked out a girl was after I had a dream like this about her
All I can think of is the time I had to give up Windows 10 because no matter what I tried, webpages would always take a few seconds to load on first connect. Like if I went to banana.com for the first time, it would take 3-4 seconds. If I went back a week later, it would be instant. But the same computer worked fine on Linux.
Basically my point is, yes your situation is crappy and you can go to Windows. But bugs like these for whatever arcane reason happen on MacOS and Windows too.
