This is super, super useful. Thanks for the breakdown!

Played almost non-stop since launch. Despite the server issues I was having a really good time. I’ve now got 3 characters in end-game; just unlocked empowered monoliths with one and close to unlocking them with a second character. I started with a spellblade as my main, then created a warlock to play with my husband but she’s now my highest level character (level 86). A few days ago I created a falconer which I’m actually enjoying the most out of the 3 classes I tried.
I joined CoF and really enjoy that faction. I initially decided to mix things up and join MG on my falconer but that quickly got boring because I didn’t really see any benefits while I was leveling and I personally enjoy lots and lots of loot so I think CoF is better for me.
Although I’ve been using loot filters since the start I found that my stash tabs tend to be full a lot. So I had to spend quite some time at the weekend reorganising my tabs and selling or shattering loot that I wouldn’t be using on the characters I’m playing at the moment.
Usually I get bored around endgame because ARPGs of course tend to be grindy and it sometimes takes quite a while to get the loot you want. But with the crafting system I’m actually finding this a lot less boring than in other ARPGs. It feels more rewarding even if I don’t have the ‘perfect’ gear yet.
At first I was a bit disappointed at the number of skills you get to choose from, until I realised you can use most of the other masteries’ skills as well and that you can create a really nice variety of builds with all the different skill trees. I think I respecced my necromancer about 4 times over the weekend just to try different things and find something I enjoy. It’s been really fun so far.
I’m also enjoying the crafting a lot!
Yikes! Does anyone know what happened?
I was wondering why it looked different from some of the screenshots I see here but when I play on mobile it’s just an endless list that gets bigger and requires a lot of scrolling. Switched my browser to desktop mode and now I can see you can drag and drop stuff. These types of games are so simple but so addicting. Ahhh
I really like it so far, especially with the new apps. I’m using Boost and I honestly can’t tell the difference between this and the old Boost for Reddit. The transition is really smooth. Oh, and everything on Lemmy feels very intuitive and the people seem less toxic.
And Mastodon…I really like it. I’ll post something with the right hashtags and suddenly there’s a conversation between a bunch of people with the same interests that goes on for weeks!
If this gets added I hope it’s optional, because I really don’t like it. I came across this feature in several Lemmy apps and and almost every time I scroll vertically the app registers it as scrolling horizontally and suddenly I’m up- or downvoting or even bookmarking a random comment.
Yeah there’s an option in the settings called Remove Ads. The problem is, that option isn’t working for me. When I tap that option all I get is a screen with the Boost logo and the text Remove Ads below it and that’s it.
Avalonia does support Linux. :)
Yeah it’s insane how expensive everything gets. I’m subscribed to a bunch of streaming services (like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, etc) and sometimes I use them a lot but HBO, for instance, I’ve only used a few times and it’s just sitting there on our smart TV taking up space and draining our bank account. But I got it when there was a really good deal and if I cancel and resubscribe I have to pay the full amount. Then again, I’m probably wasting more money with it now than I would’ve if I’d just cancelled and then resubscribed when I actually used it. Oops.
But yeah, I’m definitely not going to pay more for those services than I am now, so if the pricing gets even more ridiculous I’m out.
I’d highly recommend Kagi! You can customise your search results as well, so you can make sure some websites show up more often than others (or even not at all), or higher up/lower down on the list.
