Nothing it does is anything we haven’t seen before. And if Siri is any indication, it won’t be all that useful in the real world.
The problem I see with AI is that it seemingly takes just as long to figure out how to ask the AI what you want as it takes going into the app and just reading an email or writing a message. And then when it summarizes, how can you really trust that it hasn’t misconstrued something that you could have caught by reading it?
I feel like aside from full-on accessibility settings for those who need them (which absolutely should be implemented and the FromSoft devs don’t get a pass on this), they could do something as simple as a 2% speed, health, & damage nerf to all their enemies and it could be enough for most newcomers that have paid for the game, but didn’t get anything out of it. Like me. There are probably a huge amount of people that bought the game because of glowing “this is GOTY” reviews and couldn’t get past even Margit.
I’m sorry, their problem is that the massive trucks are somehow in danger because they weren’t designed to handle being hit by a vehicle less than half its size?
What a ridiculous statement.
It’s about the restrictions they put in place on those who have bought their products. They make it extremely hard to leave their ecosystem, overcharge for services, and prevent interoperability with other products.
They’re only just now allowing RCS to try getting out ahead of these lawsuits. But they still don’t allow side-loading (forcing developers to use their store so they can charge 30% on all sales), don’t allow third-party app stores, and don’t allow third-party browser engines (forcing everyone to reskin Safari).
Plus, in the US, Apple has 55% market share as just one company. The next highest is Samsung at 25%.
So yeah, they can play monopolistic games.
It’s so asinine for them not to allow side-loading and third-party browser engines outside the EU.
It’s more difficult system administration just for them to maintain control.

I just started using Proton mail’s aliases for that and love it. If I see a bunch of spam coming to one particular alias, I’ll just delete it and make a new one. So far, it’s been great
I have great service with IT people because I do this by default. I’ll have already tried some steps myself, so I’ll give them info about what exactly works, doesn’t work, and things that I can or can’t do that might be related to the main issue.

Sounds like you’re older though. Social media wasn’t nearly as ubiquitous a decade ago as it is now.
There was separation between online and everything else. But for these kids, online is everything. The spaces are nearly equal in experience and importance.
As a very new PC gamer, supplementing my long time Xbox gaming, the biggest advantage of consoles is that games always work OOTB (or OOTDownload).
Sometimes with PC gaming, a game just doesn’t run for whatever reason, or you get crashes, or any other weird issues. Most people don’t want to have to tinker in settings just to get consistent framerates.
Including myself, because I don’t have a lot of time to play and I don’t want to waste that time troubleshooting.
And the DLC though was absolute garbage. I had paid for the season pass and it felt like they released a bunch of stuff that should have been free.
I liked Wonderlands, even though it felt a bit short and wasn’t really as funny or gritty as the first two.
Since BL 3, it’s felt like the games devolved into a very childish humor, not in a clever way, but just an unfunny way.
Like, I know the first two games weren’t the peak of intelligent humor, but at least it felt they were intentional about how they utilized less mature jokes.
And the gameplay and stories haven’t been as good since BL2. Handsome Jack really stole the game in the best way.
I could see that. AI seems like an expensive solution to just getting people to stop clicking “reply all” though.
Kinda crazy that the easier solution may not be changing people’s behavior, but creating an entire system capable of reading and understanding text.
