1. Not really, IME the vast majority of Conservatives I know genuinely believe their beliefs are held by most people. They often refer to it as the “Silent Majority”. They tend not to associate with people that hold beliefs different to their own (to be fair so do most people, I know I do)

Boomer is primarily an american term referring to american generations. I suppose you could try and apply it to “western” countries, but it definitely doesnt apply to places like China and Japan.
