Gave it a second try :)
Life Hack: Replace the ‘www’ part from the URL with ‘sh’. For example: replace
www.reddit.com/post1/...
with
sh.reddit.com/post1/...
It should be easy to write a script that replaces these URLs. This allows using reddit with my VPN (Mullvad) turned on. I don’t know why reddit offers such a workaround, but it works for me.
Thanks, I’ll take a look at these
Oh right, I think I stumbled upon this issue as well. Have you checked if you’ve received any E-Mail? I didn’t know the account got suspended until I checked my mails
When I cleaning up my instagram account I wanted to delete all bookmarks. There was no button for “delete all”, so I also looked for a script. Then my account got suspended for like 2 weeks because its against their TOS to give such tools access to my account…
Use hashtags that fit to your posting and that are used/followed often. I for example follow some hashtags that fit my interest and see postings of people I don’t know. When I created my first posting I used only three of these hashtags and quickly had some favourites and shares. Also try to be active in the comments, they are the places where people can find you easily.
Well I used to use it when I was still using normal Android. When I open Vanadium I get greeted with the last page I visited and I get distracted from that, so a search widget helps me.
Today I learned that Vanadium has a search widget, so thanks for the post :D
Unfortunately I’m experiencing the same thing :( Not too big of a deal for me to do manual updates once every two weeks or so but still an annoyance
Creating memes…
Thank you, I’ll try them out when I find the time :)
What did you replace it with? In my case I love my Nextcloud because I have my calendar, adress book, tasks, notes, RSS feed, etc. all in one app but I’m interested to hear alternatives to it
I think if Fairphones get GrapheneOS support, it would be a no brainer for many. A phone you can repair yourself, which is fairly produced, with the safety and the absence of Google from GrapheneOS would be a good combo
I really like that UI compared to Invidous’ Are these videos proxied, so will my IP address be known to Google?
Well written! I’ve had a similar experience with a habit tracking app. I’ve once stopped using it and after getting back to it after a year or so, it was so much worse with so many new pay walled limitations. An open source habit tracker on the other hand stayed the same for years and was even improved further. If you’re inrerested: Loop Habit Tracker https://f-droid.org/packages/org.isoron.uhabits/
