I assume the US government wants to force a sale to a US tech company, no? Who would presumably profit from said successful app. Why not just outright ban it here? By kill I just mean make unusable. But you knew that, silly.

Iran might not be invading Israel anytime soon but they sure arent “trending towards peace” like you claim. You’re wrong about this one, and your anger betrays you here. It might shock you to learn that even at your age, you can still learn something, too. At least I know I’m uninformed and look for the truth instead of just spouting off bullshit with nothing to back it up.
Iran literally just sent drones into Israel. You haven’t been paying attention.
If you don’t think Israel “that interesting or important” to the US government, you haven’t been paying attention. full stop. This isn’t about Palestine, its always been about Israel. They send way too much money to us politicians, including the one in the white house, for it to not matter “in the grand scheme”. AIPAC money alone should be enough to convince you.
Why not just kill the app then instead of asking for divestment? Why do they still need it?
The Tik Tok ban is about keeping big tech in the hands of the USA. Are my account stats better for you?
No this post actually is Hamas. Please tell Israel quickly
Capitalism works! It breeds innovation like this! good luck getting non consensual ai porn in your socialist government
Kinda just feels like the subscription model honestly
These MFS think acorns are gunshots. We cannot trust them to tell the truth about what the felt in the moment. It’s a problem whether or not you can sympathize with the officer.
A post on r/latestagecapitalism of a political cartoon mildly criticizing the spending for Ukraine war effort, it was the first time I really actually noticed a botted comment section. I noticed similar accounts clearly astroturfing the post and basically stopped using the platform that day.
The whole reason I found reddit to be useful was the discussion within the posts from real people with real opinions. If that’s no longer the case then I can get the same aggregated content elsewhere. I can’t use the site knowing the discussion is so influenced, at least on some level, in some subs. It’s gross.
I got this yesterday, as well. There’s no way this could hold up legally, right? Like my 7 year old could easily just click through that, no way this is a legally binding contract to forfeit jury rights and right to sue.
…right?
Oh gimme a break. Those must be the same polls that showed Hillary by a landslide in 2016.
We act like these politicians are not friendly with each other regardless of D or R. Like they aren’t getting together in DC bars just like we do after work and joking around about the bills they blocked today or the votes they were able to get. They don’t care. They’re all on the same side they just have to appease different groups of people at home.
We have a long way to go, man.
Find a different team to support. These ones suck.
Wow we got a real activist over here trying to launder activism through comment threads, smh.
Same, just cancelled today, as well. I don’t buy nearly enough stuff on Amazon anymore to justify the free shipping, the prime video app is fine enough, but if I have to pay more for HDR/surround, well the line has to be drawn somewhere.
Criticism of the democratic party is equivalent to striving to install fascism??
Listen to yourself! I fucking voted for Biden in 2020, I want them to be better. That isn’t trying to “sow discontent” it’s not striving to install fascism, it’s criticism. Jfc you guys are soft.
What an absolute child you are. Learn how to have a conversation instead of trying to feel better than everyone.
Is there precedent for something like this? I’m clearly just a regular dummy but I can’t think of anything similar ever happening in this country. To me, it just seems like a bureaucratic way of strong arming a sale.
