Boot from USB is your friend! Use a USB to SSD connector and boot from SSD. Havent had a single storage problem since I switched to SSD :)

I don’t think OP was referring to small businesses (< 50 employees), but more like 1000+ employees.
Not only would you lose your SSN as an american citizen, you would also lose your credit score due to automated identity theft and possibly your mortgage (and more!)
