That’s been my theory as well.

Damnit… here take my money.
It very well could be the mac that I have. It’s a work laptop so it’s not the top of the line mac book pro, so some more advanced display features may be missing. I haven’t tried the dual displayport connection only HDMI. Might be worth checking out. Thanks for the tip!
I use Mac’s at work and whenever I have to use 3rd party accessories (keyboard, mouse, headset, USB switch, etc) that are not apple products they tend to have some issues. I use the same accessories on my personal PC and have never had any issues that unplugging and plugging back in didn’t fix. Also I hate that I need to use two USB C to HDMI connectors to have two displays connected to my laptop.
As long as it is not habitual and you’re not hurting anyone there is nothing wrong with indulging a bit from time to time.
As long as you are responsible with it and not harming yourself or others then I don’t see anything wrong with having a drink or two to help relax.
Unfortunately getting pneumonia and it going septic is not an uncommon occurrence. Once you are septic if you don’t get the right antibiotics in you quickly you’ll go into septic shock which has a 40% mortality rate.
If I truly felt a company, or someone at the company, cared for me and my career I’d have no problem putting in the extra effort. Unfortunately it is a rare occurrence and most of the time decisions are revenue/cash flow related and it doesn’t matter how much a company cares. At the end of the day, no matter how good things are where you work, it’ll always come down to the bottom line and what value you provide vs what you are costing the company.
I’ve been practicing the mercenary method for about 5 years now. Since then I’ve significantly increased my salary and I’ve been a lot happier at work. That on top of learning to say “no” has improved my career life exponentially. NO loyalty. No unpaid overtime. No going above and beyond for a company that isn’t going to return the favor.
Yeah I think I have heard a thing or two about something called the chilly war or something like that. Sounds delicious at first but then you read up on it and it was a lot of dick wagging but with nukes instead of dicks.
I’m not entirely convinced that Trump isn’t set up and supported by the Bush family so W didn’t go down in history as the worst modern president ever.
RIP my One Plus 7 Pro. Best phone ever.
They are rarely enforced and when they are it is usually due to some sort of significant financial loss the company suffered. Normally a company is not going to waste time and money taking a cook or cashier to court over quitting a job at McDonald’s then going to work Burger King. But a senior software engineer working at Google going to work for Apple could have some real financial implications, so they’d be more likely to pursue legal action against that person. Still kinda bullshit in my mind but I get it.
It would be down right hilarious if it didn’t keep happening all the time.
Yeah I’ve run into that issue before a few times on a few different work machines. I haven’t had it happen for awhile now that I think about it. At least two years.
I used MS OneNote for work going on about 8 years now and it’s been fine. I’ve tried others in the past and have always come back to OneNote.
Yep, all parents in Massachusetts are awful because of these two little shit head kids.
LoL one step closer to our unavoidable cyberpunk dystopia
Exactly! The new features are getting more and more lackluster each year and it is all just novelty stuff you look at and go “neat!” but that’s about the extent of it.
Whatever method gets the job done is fine but this is the most correct answer.
