4 months agoThis seems worth it for Across the Obelisk alone at $10. I played 65 hours of that co-op with a friend. The game is a really fun co-op rougelite deckbuilder, and building out teams that synergize well with each other is a blast.

It’s definitely the best pinball-metroidvania postal service simulator available.
Yeah, Dark Cloud 1 had some issues, but Dark Cloud 2 / Dark Chronicle (depending where you lived) made huge improvements all around. While other pre-2000 game companies have been falling apart or getting caught up in controversy, Level 5 has been quietly cranking out titles that a lot of people don’t even realize they were involved in.
This must be what they’ve been waiting for to give us another Dark Cloud game.
I really liked Blue Prince and was recommending it pretty heavily. Unfortunately, I eventually got tired of the RNG involved with hunting for clues. I made it pretty far into the late-game puzzles, but doubt I’ll ever properly finish it at this point. The game was definitely fantastic right up until it wasn’t, and then it felt like a chore.
