Inb4 my company follows suit. Just like they want to with IT, AI, Cloud infrastructure (we own our stack almost entirely).

Is this the guy who made the Photoshop tool war thing. This guy has been cooking lately.
I don’t have a perfect hairline so having that extra length just gives more styling options without looking my age
Same, 2 on sides 3 inches off the top, sometimes it’s “leave 2-3 inches on the top”
Oh. If you’re incompetent at work we notice. It’s just not our job to be on your shit at all times.
Disclaimer: usage of “you(r/re)” not intended to mean you, Kyrgizion.
It’s because hard drives don’t turn every written bit into a 0. Instead it tells the operating system that the region you deleted is free for writing again.
At some point in the future through usage that region will either be corrupted or have something completely different in it (from our perspective though it may read as corrupt it will still work as expected when written into)
I only scratch the top of their head and pat their backs but never under or near mouth or paws. My cat has betrayed their trust with me too many times to earn that privilege.
I can fix her
The funniest thing about AI upscaling is that every fool thought it would reconstruct missing detail and instead it just makes up random texture that didn’t exist, or it makes everything weirdly glossy
I don’t have one but let’s pretend:don’t be pressured to act by guilt (assuming you have e a functioning moral compass)
Reasons everywhere to leave reddit, Twitter and even YouTube (who we all probably thought they couldn’t ruin their reputation).
And yet the masses won’t. They care too much about bots inflating their follow numbers and people with a community don’t want to make an effort to keep it outside of the platform. Twitter is at its worst it’s ever been but that doesn’t seem to matter to anyone.
No!!! They’re useful because uhhmm uuhhhh uhmm uhhhbbh dndusfjduehrhrh
Me but I don’t think I have ADHD.
I know two people who have ADHD and I’ve likened it to “noticeable executive dysfunction” and I don’t really have that or any attention issues.
That AI code thumbnail is gonna give me an aneurysm
Time to get roasted again but I dislike LEDs and I always tape black electrical tape on them.
This is what I do: I use my browser to store all my randomly generated passwords. If I ever need them on my phone I either sync or go to my desktop and view the password and type it over.
I don’t really know how to explain my job to someone without them thinking it’s something else. Maybe it’s ego but I hate saying I’m a dev (and which kind) because of what they’re going to assume but I also don’t want to say something pretentious like “I solve problems”.
I have been thinking of just saying I program even though that’s very reductionist but at the same time I don’t want to answer any questions about my work.
I guess you could say I wish I had a real job that did real things.
/end rant
I don’t think it’s dirty if you manage your requirements across these environments with care, but I’d ask for what they mean
I heavily disagree. C++ has a lot of problems but it’s flexibility is not one of them.
Imo the biggest problem with C++ is that there are a dozens ways of doing the same thing. The std lib is not general and fast enough for everyone. Therefore it’s not even “standard” .
I have seen many conferences of a proposed “cpp2” like syntax that breaks abi but imo it’s the best way forward.
