I am around $450 per month in the summer, $75 in the winter. Texas. My rate is nominally $0.087 per kwh, but the taxes make it roughly twice that. I have a big house, but it is pretty energy efficient - 2015 construction with mostly Energy Star appliances. I charge a Nissan Leaf daily.
Having used an expensive Metcal, I would like someone to develop that level of performance for less. I want the precise thermostat and high quality tips, but I don’t solder enough to justify the expense. I am happy to see iFixit driving innovation in this market though. Weller needs some real competition.
I have been playing it for 6 years. The gun play is great. It gets regular updates. I still have fun. I wish the pvp player pool was bigger so that match making would work better.
I don’t think this game even lasted long enough for word of mouth to have popularized it. I didn’t hear about it until it was dead. I am wondering how many players Helldivers 2 had at 11 days (not a great example because it was an existing IP with existing fans). Could they have made it if the game had actually been good? I am not sure. Shutting down super fast got them more publicity than anything else they did.

On the flip side, Israel killed a terrorist. How do I know they were a terrorist? Because Israel wouldn’t have killed them otherwise.
Overall, other responders have good answers - equal rights, freedoms, and opportunities. Plenty of bread and circuses. I can’t be motivated to be a terrorist because I would sacrifice too much changing the status quo.

Schadenfreude. Learn to take pleasure in things like massive increases in risk making insurance unaffordable for conservative fuckheads in places like Florida. A fancy beach house on Cape Hatteras just fell into the ocean (creating a wave of nasty pollution).
Climate chaos is coming for all of us, and we have done basically nothing to avert it (lots of lip service). 2023 set the record for carbon emissions, at least until 2024 is in the books.

I would say Pretty Hate Machine is probably the best known. My favorite is Broken. You are probably correct about Downward Spiral being the consensus among the fan base as a whole. What I really like about NIN is that I enjoy all of their albums. Many other bands I like have some that I avoid. Probably my least favorite NIN album is Fixed and it’s still pretty listenable.
I paid about $1750 in insurance premiums last year and an additional $9,000 in deductibles. This year should be a little more in premiums and hopefully, just $7500 in deductibles. (Wife was treated for cancer last year and had reconstructive surgery this year. I had a routine colonoscopy for the higher expense that I won’t need again for a few years. )

Me answering: well, phytoplankton make something like 65% of the oxygen we breathe so our air naturally is about 21% oxygen. The bad news is that over the last 150 years we have been emitting huge amounts of carbon into the atmosphere which is making our oceans (where the phytoplankton live) more acidic. We know that the phytoplankton is less healthy in the acidic ocean and we’re not really sure how much more carbon the oceans can absorb before the phytoplankton really gets in trouble. Nevertheless, we are not really taking the carbon emission problem seriously because it would make the ultra wealthy slightly less wealthy, and they’re the only people that matter when it comes to public policy. So I am sorry you will probably have to experience 140F degree weather in the summer. At least as the amount of oxygen in the air decreases we’ll all get dumber, so maybe we won’t be able to comprehend the suffering we have caused.
