I didn’t care much for the logo change as it’s not really a big deal. What got me to cancel was them adding ANOTHER tier for 4K and then said “no we didn’t have any fee hikes” yet they removed it from the existing plan.

I’m honestly just gonna wait till it’s on GamePass in a year or so. Would love to play as a 9 hour ish Campaign with a lot of customization once the abandon the GaaS stuff.
Mass Effect was pretty great with this and really paved the way for games now. i still don’t know another set of trilogies where the game can be affected from the choices you made years before in an earlier game. I think they went so ambitious that it really tied up their hands with a lot of things for ME3.
Found out my cousin bought it and we both game share our Xbox’s so looks like I have no excuse now!
Haha that’s awesome. I love that this fan base is so loud and proud. I can’t believe a shadow dropped game from Microsoft of all people turned out to be one of my favorites of the year.
I’m honestly just waiting for it to go on sale (<$25 cause I’m stingy and my backlog is huuuge) for Xbox. Looking at sales numbers it’ll probably be soon Z
Man you’ll absolutely love BioShock. Still in my top games of all time. I’m not sure why I just can’t get into Dishonered. I just enjoy “so anyways I went blasting” and I feel so punished whenever I do .
Yeah I started it a while back and just returned to it. The tutorial levels are such a slog it’s hard to keep my attention.
I think next year I’ll finally get to this. Was hearing so much about the issues I decided to be in the wait and see until people started really recommending it.
I tried to go into it blind but just from so many people telling me that I know there was some bad twist to expect. It was still absolutely great regardless. Game play a little dated but enjoyable.
Yeah I need to start this at some point, have only been hearing good things. I’m just not a huge fan of turn based but this might switch my mind.
Personally for me :
Xbox: Hi-Fi Rush , I love rhythm games and hack and slashes and this was the perfect combo. A lot of heart was poured into this game with the devs and I wish it had a bit more recognition .
PS5: GoW Ragnarok, great follow up to my favorite game last generation with a very satisfying conclusion. Was a close one between this and Spiderman 2 where both games were more of a refinement of the original but this had way more content.
PC: Spec Ops: The Line - Great story, decent mechanics for a fairly old game and the performance was wonderful playing on max settings at 144 fps on my handheld.
For larger communities it’s great. For small communities it sucks. People need to let the mainstream ones grow before branching to these smaller communities.
Outside of that the community is incredibly lefty, I am pretty liberal too but it’s pretty wild how much it leans. There’s also a huge fascination to have everything be FOSS , Linux, and using Firefox . Ex the audacity of the Sync developer charging for an app was hilarious.
Oh yes, played a bunch of Horror games over the weekend with my cousins . Outlast 2 was a highlight and Soma. Also It takes two was great but I decided playing with the wife might be more fun back home.
Basically the moral of the story is that Spotify should have followed in their footsteps and become their own record company.
Yeah it was pretty sad. They should either separate out the reveals from the awards. Or just make the event longer. I totally get why they’ll do reveals though. It makes the event more exciting and more eyes on the stream, but they should give the developers their due.
Pro tip: you can do both ;)
Bioshock Remastered has been great to revisit again. I remember how mind blown I was when I was a kid playing the demo for it on my 360.
Honestly a positive for me . Xbox Gamepass is the main reason I have a handheld . It doesn’t work natively on Linux.
To be honest they’ve been doing this for a while with backwards compatibility so it’s continuation to make it forwards compatible as well. It’s a bummer they’re not following up with physical copies but it’s clear there’s been a lack of demand for Xbox games. Seems like they want to go the Steam route which I’m all for.
