Being a deck owner not over obsessed in the latest tripe A games.

Considering that 99% of other “portable consoles” on the market are actually handhelds pc, which can download it fron Steam… No. It won’t be.

We forget the need for “cheap and dirty” energy sources in that scenario. Just look at what happened with the covid.

Considering this console comes after the Deck and the other handhelds, shouldn’t be the other way around?

Btw to answer the question:

• Few exclusive titles (for now)

• Not great performance to some last year triple A game (like cyberpunk 2077)

• The damn price of the games

The answer is: Yes. Any decently performing handheld right now is a better alternative. RIGHT NOW. In a year, with more exclusive titles and ( let’s hope) better game prices, who knows.

Something tells me that the Deck will be compatible with “way more” than old games in the near future… Some times an emulator goes down, and two or more rise up.
