Sounds like a good solution as well

I run nextcloud on my machine. If there’s a crack, there would be one in their hosted instance as well. There’s nothing really I can do about security of it.
Ipv64.net is an alternative, just in case you want to switch some day
I had problems with duckdns as well. Never had problems with ipv64
I love systemd.
Is this what you suggest? https://cybso.de/blog/2017-02/how-wake-lan-remote-host-demand-using-systemds-sockets/
This sounds like a proxy that sends a magic packet if it can’t reach the service. That sounds great
Thanks! I use wake on lan with rtcwake to boot at a certain time. I also found an app via which I can boot the server via wake on lan. But it would be nice if it could wake up just by requesting the service

Thanks! That’s an interesting take I keep in mind
Thank you very much!
“Walking” is the easier route. It’s warm, always sunny and everyone has the same goal and is walking on the same physical path. That’s why I lean towards it. I know what to expect and that I am able to do it.
Also, I’m concerned that I may not be able to meet a healthy vegan diet in the alps easily. I’m probably overthinking it.
I could go to spain for the long walk and only a week into the alps to build up my confidence.
Thanks again!
Anything would be fine I guess. Try fedora server. It ships with a gui (cockpit) for basic management tasks. Maybe it suits you
All we need to know:
ubuntu still uses snaps
I’ve got the same problem since a month or two with another dyndns provider. That’s not specific to the dydns provider. It is the router. Yet I have no idea how to fix it, and I am too lazy currently.
I’m on graphene, btw.
