OK, it was a basic pattern recognition model, nothing nearly as sophisticated as we have now, but I think it would have performed significantly faster.

I had the idea to offload machine learning to GPUs back in the early 00’s. I was working for a company doing number plate recognition back then, so I was even in a position to act on my idea… but my boss thought I was nuts.
I’m not sure how much money I would have made, but it’s got to be better than this!
Yeah, that’s the broken window fallacy.
I have one for when I’m doing a presentation that customised for zero interruptions. The other is for everything else.
That’s all well and good, but many of these Windows machines were headless or used by extremely non-technical people - think tills at your supermarket or airport check-in desks. Worse, some of these installations were running in the cloud, so console access would have been tricky.
Fuck me, I hope you don’t just render whatever HTML the user gave you!
I dunno, but I’d want to wear leather gloves - those claws look vicious.
A simple ‘Love… love will tear us apart’ by Joy Division
Or, less obvious… this one saw me through some dark times:

I imagine so, buy have no first hand experience.
I am a long-time Tumbleweed user. It’s the most stable rolling release distro I’ve tried, so if you want that latest software, it’s a great choice. I’ve not tried MicroOS yet, so I can’t comment on that.
I dunno, having the same music taste seems like a good starting point at least.
I will be very disappointed if this owl isn’t on the owl-of-the-year competition.
Speaking as a Gen X with a guitar… it was all about synthpop, rave and industrial. Who needed guitars in the 80s/90s anyway?

I’m not sure it’s that simple - maybe they are playing their Gen X parents’ guitars?
Simple: I fucking hate driving. I hate the smell, I hate the noise, and I hate the stress. Thr environmental impact isnt exactly a plus point either. You could say that I’m lucky to live in a place with good public transport, but I actively sought out a place with public transport because I didn’t want to rely on a car.
Final nail on the coffin: I developed Menieres disease, so I am prone to intense vertigo attacks at short notice - I couldn’t get a license even if I wanted one.
I don’t know about easy to be expert, but you can have a lot of fun learning and playing simplified versions of pop songs on a basic guitar. IMHO, every household should have one.
Downloading music… I was discovering so many cool bands by downloading shitty quality mp3s!
So… let’s start uploading lots of gay/trans porn and swe how long it takes before the policy changes!
I wonder what the apologists from .ml have to say…
