Motorcycle is a broad category, most e-bikes fit under it. The defining characteristics is a motor vehicle steered by handlebar from a saddle style seat.

They don’t have to be loud, but many drivers intentionally choose to make them loud. This comes down to a cultural issue, more about that later. Arguably most sports cars are much more obnoxious.

The accident rate and danger tends to come down more to cars than to motorcycles them selves. Most deadly motorcycle accidents are collisions with cars, and most of those are deemed the fault of the car driver. They’re also unreasonably fast for the form factor, again, because they have to mingle with cars, particularly on the highway.

Motorcycles are held to the same emission standards as cars, unless it’s not a road legal vehicle like a dirt bike, or not fast/powerful enough to require a license, like a moped. And they’re generally way more fuel efficient than cars due to being physically smaller, most getting between 70 to 90 MPG. Even Harley’s, intentionally outdated and inefficient designs, get 45MPG better than most cars.

Most can fit 2 people, which is more than most cars tend to have in them at any given time, and with pannier bags they can carry more than most cars will carry on a day to day basis, with most people never carrying cargo in their car beyond a few grocery bags.

They’re statistically much less dangerous to pedestrians than cars. I have no idea where you got the idea they’re more dangerous to pedestrians from.

They’re generally actually much easier to maintain than a car being smaller and less mechanically complex. The reason that so many motorcyclists tend to spend a lot of time maintain them is because they’re doing more of it them selves rather than taking it to a dealership or a mechanic.

There is absolutely a cultural issue among motorcyclists, but much of that comes down to how often they’re nearly killed by inattentive drivers. Constantly being put in danger by car drivers not paying attention tends to make people a bit hostile to car drivers. Much of the rest comes down to the fact that such a risky activity tends to attract people who are in to it to seem “cool”, which will attract some shitty people.

Exactly, we don’t know how the brain would adapt to having electric impulses wired right in to it, and it could adapt in some seriously negative ways.

I don’t think the understanding of the human brain is really good enough to engineer a properly functional one.

And I suspect that any companies touting they have such a device are ether overstating how effective what they have is, or outright lying about the capabilities.

If we did have enough understanding to engineer a device, I suspect it would be possible to fix such issues without grafting in electronics.

Anything beyond publicly funded research smells of grift to me.

Propaganda, is a craft, it’s a whole world of tricks and manipulations. Not just censorship and positive stories about the leaders. It can get shockingly sophisticated. We usually only take note of the obvious and obtuse propaganda.

People aren’t dumb for believing it, it’s a whole field of figuring out how to convince people about things. Often if the propaganda doesn’t work on you, that’s because it’s not designed for you, or it has worked but the goal of it wasn’t what you thought it was.

The AI is not the reason their software is bad, but their software is bad for the same reason they’re claiming to use AI to write it.

Safari had its own web engine, WebKit, which chromium’s web engine, blink, is actually a fork of.

Opera Used to have it’s own web engine, presto, but they rebased to blink in 2013.

But yah, your options these days for the basis of your browser are basically WebKit(Apple), Gecko(Mozilla) and Blink(Google).

It’s not for game developers, it’s to convince capital that they should keep funding Microsoft’s data center expansions. Keep funding the methane companies that provide the power for them.

They’re just so eager to pull their masks off, like. Like, there is only so much algorithm manipulation can do to obscure observable reality from their audience.

And more importantly It reveals his character in a way that some of his die hard supporters might actually care about.

He’s been shedding fans for a long time now, but way slower than he’s been going off the rails, because the things he’s done have rarely been directly contradictory to the image his fans have of him. Sure taken as a whole they are, but individual actions can be written off as haters using cult logic.

This though, this is… just so pathetic… so blatantly approval seeking and manipulative tendencies.

Other things beyond that can also be cheating. That is one kind of cheating but other things can be cheating as well.

Skyrim had a narrative, it had stories that raised curiosity enough to engage with the gameplay loops. Some of the side quest were even pretty good, the main quest was meh.

Increasingly Bethesda seems to be building their games around gameplay loops with narrative increasingly ancillary. They’ve optimized for grind without giving a reason to grind.
